Peace

There is so much freedom and peace in doing the right thing and not expecting a return. You reach there after plenty of heartburn though! But once you reach there, you look back and have a hearty laugh at yourself for being so silly as to expect what you THOUGHT you would get in return.

Humans are so changeable, at least, a lot of them. There are exceptions and those are so meaningful to us. And you are lucky if you have even one of that rare kind around you.

So, knowing this, it becomes easier to be civil to everyone, even help wherever and whenever you can, and feel happy you are in a position to make someone’s life easier and better.

Peace is not so difficult to achieve, after all.

Realization

There comes a time when you have to decide who you are and what you want to be a part of. Where your focus will be.

Just like our earlier system of college education. First year, do a broad based study of subjects. Second year, narrow it down to where your interest and aptitude are visible. Third year, major and specialize in the area of your choice and hopefully, passion too.

This is a great learning ground. You go forward in life doing what really inspires and elevates your standards of humanity also. Being productive helps not only you but ultimately, your nation. And the world. Every drop of effort counts.

Thinking big and working hard to achieve goals is wonderful. However, starting small and building from there is also very powerful. Where you are going to expend your energies is a matter of choice, of course. But “sensible” living is a huge part of your own self-respect.

At the end of the day, you stand alone, whether in your achievements or failures. Temporary crutches are at best, shifting sands under your feet. They can de-stabilize you without warning.

So, wisdom emanating from a realization of the true nature of this world is the major key to living with measured stability and a key that can unlock many exciting doors.

Consequences

We do many things during the day. Some are planned and some just come along on the spur of the moment.

But examine them and ask yourself, how many were done for others and how many for yourself? It is really interesting to see what you discover about yourself.

We are often judged by what we do not do to fulfil expectations which are not ours. And to placate and pacify and satisfy others, how much we compromise on our own energies.

But when you reach a point of balance and understand that everything you do has a consequence not in your control entirely, but your intentions have been clear, then you will begin to take steps towards what you feel fulfilled with and for which you don’t mind being misjudged by those who actually feel better if they bend you to their will.

And that is rampant all over, within human beings. Within the mental aberrations of humans, we have to achieve our mental balance. If you feel you are doing right by you, more often than not, people also understand this.

We need to keep to our path. Yes, it may be fraught with some discomfort but it is all better for you in the long run.
