Privilege

There are moments of grief and moments of happiness for all souls. When we feel good, we want to hold that space forever. But often, it is only as steady as a house of cards. Until the next event arrives with its challenges.

Hopefully, instead of making our minds like a yoyo, we learn to learn to modify our thoughts and reactive patterns.

Personally, I have learnt that the position of an observer is the best. Let everything happen outside of you, observe, analyze and let go of what can be damaging, if internalized.

Maintaining the inner calm and peace against all odds makes you a role model. Because you have followed the ultimate teaching of being a “drashta”, an observer. Very difficult but a totally liberating learning, if achieved.

Having said this, humans are flawed. It is not easy to develop lofty ideals overnight. We are creatures of habit and the body of our thoughts has been trained to think and act as per our comfort level. The concepts of right and wrong have been diluted because that would mean overhauling your internal system and doing that is exhausting for most.

Within this context, wisdom is to streamline your life, retaining the people around who care and lend to each other’s happiness quotient as much as possible to counteract the oppressing circumstances that we all inevitably have to face as our karma keeps unfolding and throws challenges at us constantly.

This is HOPE and this is LIGHT. And this is the privilege and power to ascend.

Retaliation

I can never find it in my heart to “understand” why we don’t see that everyone carries their burdens and their grief, sometimes silently and privately. We just see the surface and that too, may have more depth than we know.

The smile hides a million hurts. The “trying to be normal” with those that have hurt you terribly speaks of a grace no one wants to acknowledge.

What we do with our lives is a promise to ourselves. Do we want to elevate it or enslave it? Do we want to feel proud of who we are amidst many challenges, or do we want to fight battles which end up making us the losers? Because we don’t “win” in conflict. We just lose … lose our peace, our grace, our minds and our energies.

Ultimately, how does it matter that someone meant to insult or be rude? The onus is on them for their intentions. Yes, I know it is easy to say this and I have also been there. But you learn over time that dignity and respect are more important than retaliation, despite the fact that your non retaliation can be seen wrongly as weakness, but often, only when the attempt to bait does not work. At least, it does not disrupt your peace. And it is okay. Always prioritize on your peace is the lesson I have learnt.

If someone is on the wrong track, it is foolishness to follow. The larger part of the lesson.

Belief System

A fact of life! You cannot unscrew the minds of those who have used ironclad screws to strengthen their wrong belief systems. Or have set you up as a target. Just step away until and if at all, sense dawns on them!

I have realized that learning is so individual and time resistant that there is no point in getting frustrated when you try to steer someone towards the right understanding but they just do not want to go there.

It is strange how people claim to care but on a day to day basis, they are all about themselves. I have stopped getting surprised at these observations in people.

It doesn’t matter as long as you don’t let the injustice of it all plague you.

Relationships fraught with disrespect cannot work.

Life does not stop for anyone and everyone has stories! We are just one among the many, oppressed by our grief and sadness.

Just get out of such emotions. It is not worth it! Let go of what is not in your control. Karma can be a tough call. It takes away but it also returns in different ways.

Continue living life, staying away from the circus and drama of other people.

Be strong. Be smart. And most important, never doubt yourself. Always believe in yourself when your conscience is clear.

Virtuous life

Who knows the ways of God ? Atleast, we can know about our own ways. We constantly fail in our “human” ways and expect the Divine to work for us.

There is a witness consciousness that watches us act against ourselves day after day, making the same mistakes again and again . No one is exempt !

The one that works hard towards becoming purer in mind sees results. And no one said it was an easy process. But then, in any effort, there are bound to be slips due to force of habit. But we break those habits that don’t serve us over a period of time. So, judgements of people may be odious and avoidable.

Turning away from the world is not required if we can start turning towards a virtuous life.

Today, it is considered stupidity to be honest, truthful , simple and loyal . Why ? The reason given is that we live in a diabolical world and success will elude us if we are virtuous all the time.

We fail to realise the impact and consequences of our non virtuous actions that accumulate to cause grief . But this is for each one of us to realise.

Experiences

Those of us who share experiences or are healers have many stories to tell and many experiences of others and few personal ones to share.. with the one idea .. to LEARN from.

There is much misery around but recoveries are possible if we tell it as it is even when some feel that there is a cutting edge to these notes. Well, what hurts must be healed. This is a simple formula to follow.

It is ineffective to beat around the bush. If I am doing something that is giving me grief, I would like to understand how to do it different.

Personal slander on a facebook page is unheard of unless one is very very insecure and chooses to take what is written , personally.

We get so many forwards and posts everyday. The content often strangely materialises as a sign. It is a message if we can look at it deeply. I see God’s signs everywhere and these actually change not only your mindsets but give you new insights to work with.

I admit that many posts come to me as a mirror, exactly what the doctor ordered at that minute. So , if we change our perspective towards posts and notes, we can discover a gold mine to improve us in a big way.
