Circumstance

Everyone has difficult circumstances to tackle in life. But, it is disturbing to see so many people developing a victim mentality. Worse still, making their victim card a weapon and playing it to their advantage to gain sympathy.

Today, we need more courage than ever before. Life is fast and no one has the time. We need to do things for ourselves because the support systems of families and elders is crumbling. To blame life is completely futile. Nothing just “happens”. The fatalistic card of “woe is me” can only mean defeat /lack of motivation to get up and walk again.

There will always be supporters around you in strange ways though you may never see them as such out of wallowing in self-pity and confused feelings. I have seen many an olive branch by well-meaning people, rejected again and again.

Actually, you can beat yourself up all your life, with comparisons, maybe for bad decisions made or a karmic onslaught, branding yourself as “unlucky” or whatever.  But you know what? It only makes it worse. Only you can turn your life around.

Again and again, I come back to the courage needed to transform a negative pattern of thought to an “I can do it” mode. It is hard work and sometimes, many tears before you smile again.  But that one smile is worth the tears preceding it.

Vibrations

Old souls returning to the earth to help raise the vibrations! The kids today are remarkable in their maturity. You just can't treat those babies and kutchi koo with them like you did with the earlier generations. If you do that, you get a strange feeling like they are looking at you and thinking, "isn't this aunty silly?" An amusing thought but you will see how mature their eyes are.
The one wonderful trait they exhibit is inclusiveness. If there are ten adults sitting in a group, they will address each one. Something even adults don't do. In fact, adults are often more exclusive than inclusive due to having developed strong likes and dislikes.
Inclusiveness should be emphasized in schools to take this kind trait forward. Especially amongst the kids in general because, very often, parents are heard complaining about some kids being bullies, being mean etc. Sadly, this also depends on the parents who are care takers at home and need to provide love and security to their kids.

Philosophy

Isn't it amazing how big a capacity we have to focus on petty matters, disregarding the bigger picture? We have a tendency to pick on the most unimportant matters. Mostly because it doesn't suit us to acknowledge that we ARE able to see it but don't want to some trivial ego issue that we build up and magnify in our heads so often.
And yet, we are the same people who spout philosophy and the meaninglessness of life during commiserations over bereavement. Next day, we are back to our old ways without a thought about that philosophy which we had discovered just yesterday. Sigh! Such are the ways of our species.

Self defeating exercise

Life is all about defeating yourself to becoming a better "you". Isn't it? But we keep trying to defeat others to feel stronger, superior. What a futile and exhausting task we set ourselves! Reminds me of the story of the man who was sitting on the branch of the tree he was cutting. Which sane person does that?
We take on so many self defeating exercises to show others, whereas the fact is, we need to show ourselves what we can do. Others will see it by and by. And even if they don't, do we live for ourselves or for others? A very important question and with this answer, we will create our life.

Consequences

Why is it that when we have been doing the same drill for 20 years, like climbing the same steps we can actually climb almost blindfolded, that in the 21st year, we fall on the very same staircase ? You get hurt for sure: your ego takes a knock as well. How did you do something so silly? You should have been used to it by now.
Well, folks, maybe, it is all about losing your awareness at that time.
Haven't we seen again and again that it's all about awareness in everything, As opposed to the fact that you can never take anything or anyone for granted; constantly to be within your awareness, watching yourself and others? To understand how to respond based on the conditions before you. How best you can act in the moment.
It is so strange that responses from the same people can be different. And so, presuming can land you into troubled waters. That's why most people just cultivate the art of treading water.
So, lose your awareness and pay for the consequences.
