Judgment
What is fair? What is just? And what is truth?
Actually, there isn’t any simple answer. Because we are constantly exposed to
so many angles of the same story, so many different perspectives, that we
arrive at our personal perspective and understanding of the truth and take that
as gospel truth. Our convictions are also based on several viewpoints which
culminate into one so called “truth. And we hold onto it at the cost of
conflict with another person’s views.
But truth lies somewhere between all these
perspectives and our understanding may not be quite there. That is why it is
not wise to judge. You really don’t know. What you think you know may not be
anywhere close to the truth. And therefore, it is not really wise to get into
discussions of this nature.
So, better not to claim to know and hence,
avoid judgments.

Universal energy
Sometimes, we get disappointed with people
who present a pleasant exterior most times. It is probably true of everyone at
one time or another.
You are suddenly and often taken unawares
by the outbursts of the actual fires burning inside someone.
One if the greatest frustrations within
people are the eagerness to win in life ... all the time. Whether in gambling
or in a word slinging match, people have a deep craving to win. This burning
can eat away your insides if you are not careful.
We really need an inner fire extinguisher
for the sake of our mental and emotional health or we can get into deep trouble.
Some rules to douse fires:
1. Never misunderstand when you can
understand.
2. There will always be someone more
successful and someone less successful than you. Learn to be content.
3. You can never go wrong if you follow
some basic but important values that you were taught, growing up.
4. Earn respect for yourself in your own
eyes first.
5. Love is a universal energy which we need
to share much more than we do.
6. Clean up your own mess first.
7. Forgive yourself and then others.
8. Be simple
9. Let your own choices dictate your life
10. Live life as if you own it all but passes
on as if nothing was ever yours.
Cheers!

Intuition
Something to think about, I read today that
intuition is nothing but a synthesis of feeling and intellect. Most of the
time, we feel but don't understand. Or, understand but don't feel. It should
not be like that. Generally, we are closer to our feelings more than
understanding. We ARE our feelings. But understanding needs to sink into it. And
this will happen with introspection.
So, if we feel we are separate, everything
appears as separate. And this generates a different kind of activity within us
as compared to when we feel one with our feeling and intellect. And we realize
that there IS no separation. It is a mere illusion.
A thought and its quality, therefore,
dictate and give character to our actions. This introspection should be done
minute to minute as a priority, wherever we are and whatever we are doing. Only
then does it become YOU. And then there is no dichotomy.

Disillusionment
Disillusionment is an oft used word, with
reference to people, work, educational standards etc. But this feeling of
disillusionment only stems from your expectations. If you took everything at
face value, would you still be disillusioned?
I have often written about expectations. If
you want to be free and contented, don't make the mistake of expecting, keeping
unrealistic hopes. Never fails to disappoint.
Expletives like, “I am shocked “, "how
CAN they" etc.... meaningless, because they CAN and they HAVE. Really! We
need to be composed under varied situations.
Don't expect and be happy.
