Judgment
What is fair? What is just? And what is truth?
Actually, there isn’t any simple answer. Because we are constantly exposed to
so many angles of the same story, so many different perspectives, that we
arrive at our personal perspective and understanding of the truth and take that
as gospel truth. Our convictions are also based on several viewpoints which
culminate into one so called “truth. And we hold onto it at the cost of
conflict with another person’s views.
But truth lies somewhere between all these
perspectives and our understanding may not be quite there. That is why it is
not wise to judge. You really don’t know. What you think you know may not be
anywhere close to the truth. And therefore, it is not really wise to get into
discussions of this nature.
So, better not to claim to know and hence,
avoid judgments.

Satiation level
All our lives, we are told we must be
balanced, balanced and more balanced. While we were kids on the see saw, the
fun was exactly the opposite that is one side being up and the other side
swinging up in seconds. Then we had the swing on which soaring higher and
higher, one hardly knew what balance meant.
We read and preach a lot of theory. But
actually, where is the balance? You love like crazy, like there is no tomorrow.
You hate, waiting for tomorrow to avenge some deed or another. You eat the food
you like until your tummy groans. You see serials like one addicted, forgetting
day and night. You are constantly on whatsapp, face book and calls for hours.
If you are a golfer, you never heard of the word "balance".
Today, I am a spoilt child of my parents.
Tomorrow, I will want to do exactly what I feel like. Later, I will want much name,
fame and money. And so on.... so much for balance! What is that saying that
says...
Love as if you never loved before
Laugh as if you will never laugh again
Cry your heart out when it is in pain
Enjoy with every cell in your body....
So much for balance right!
I always think that balance means certain
contentment, a satiation level. And this can spell a saturation for which you
have to really be ready and would have to have arrived at that point.
How many of us have?

Forgiveness
A frequent thought: what do you do when you
ask for forgiveness but are not given it? When we are taught forgiveness, we
don't think that someone may not be in a mood to forgive and is holding on to
past grudges, memories and even pain. Pointless! But it is not easy to preach
at that point and say things like, it was not meant to be etc. That would be disastrous!
But truly, what is forgiveness? You
basically let go of your negative reactions with an understanding that there is
no need to internalize anything. Each one can let it go. The next step then would
be easier. Just shake hands seriously, forgiving is merely not keeping anything
in the mind. The alert is sounded only when things are repeated again and
again.
People tell me, oh! I forgive easily but I
never forget and this sounds ominous because you have not forgiven in such
cases sometimes. Not always.
You know, I equate this with water sliding
off your back when you shower. Just as water is energy, our thoughts and
feelings are also nothing but energy. We need to let all of it slide off us.
And there will be perennial peace in our inner world. You might say, aha Easy
to talk but hard to do maybe, for some; maybe not so hard for others. You will
have to try it out.

Fear of death
The world today is conspiring to bring fear
into everyone's hearts. The greatest of them is fear of people. We don't feel
safe anywhere. We are unable to trust anyone. Whether family or friends or
strangers, there is a whole lot of uncertainty? The dishonesty and decadence
around humans has reached its peak.
Then, there are also environmental
concerns. Fear of the kind of world we are leaving for the next generations.
Fear of death is huge. Fear of losing wealth,
affluence, success. Losing the limelight...fear, fear, fear...
Fear psychosis rules under the beautifully
masked people. Is there any point in continuing this way? Does it help anyone
and anything? We are unhappy and others are unhappy. Waste of a life if we
can't turn our lives around!
