Humanity

What is relevant in today’s context is the revival of the old values that we have lost as having branded them as obsolete. They are the need of the day!

You only have to see the turmoil around us to understand that we are completely on the wrong path. We have overstepped the boundaries everywhere, person to person, family to family, religion to religion, country to country and so on.

We don’t understand the concept of space. The human being is basically constricted within the physical persona and the instinct is to expand. In the attempt to do so, we are impinging on the space of others, whether people or countries. Instead, we should be expanding into the vast spiritual realm .

Deliberate interference, intentional attempts to control and this through the invasion of space which does not belong to us. And this is generally the starting point of every complication and conflict, which then keeps building to a point of no return.

Intervention is generally a bad idea. It is crossing boundaries.

It raises opportunities for conflict.

We have gradually travelled in time from forward to regression, harmony to dissensions, intolerance of difference in perceptions, dominance of personal egos and a race to become the dominant power in the world.

See, all this comes with a huge price tag and a raging discontent of many. We have seen revolutions happen in history with the discontent of disparities. But we don’t seem to stop. I wonder what self-destructive mind-sets are these that we have become suicidal in the self-destructive actions.

Again and again, we see people destroying people and in the end, destroying themselves.

This is where the old, so called “obsolete” values need to be brought back…. The patterns of human thinking and behavior to be thoroughly looked into and changed whatever required!

It is all very well to say we have become modern. But perhaps we stood out only because we were NOT but culturally sound. We practiced humanity, the power on which we stand today also, up to a point, and for which the world looks up at us today.

But success lies in the sum total of the collective values of the masses that believe in some common principles. We all know what they are. But practice is another issue altogether.
