Get a life!

When there is drought, even a few drops of rain have the power to cause excitement. The kindness of people is similar. Every little sincere act inspires gratitude. The absence of genuine kindness is like a drought. So, suddenly, when you come across people who you haven't had a close connection with but who spontaneously offer help, it makes you can feel those raindrops fall on your heart.
Life has become very clinical, mechanical ....like dance without expression, like music discordant, like a house which is not a home....I guess, I find the soul missing in many around me. And I often feel that souls on the earth must be experiencing much loneliness. Imagine being connected and not realizing it! Being lonely when there really is no need to be so. Deliberately hurting someone , not knowing that it is definitely coming back to you...or often knowing it but still doing it...succors for inviting grief.
Oh! Humans! Get a life!

Vicious cycle

Many people tell me they have moved on. The tones of their statements hit me sometimes. They don't realize it but often, these statements are laced with a defiance that hides deep hurts. Their eyes, too, fail to support their speech. Some others say it very proudly, hoping to fool others and somewhere, deep down, even themselves.
Is it so easy to move on? If it is, then how come everywhere and every day, we witness breaking bonds, relationships fraying around the edges, warring families ...and the like? Should these not heal if we have really moved on?
Actually, we have not really moved on. Rather, we have let the energies of people move in. Simultaneously, we have literally donated our energies to people. So, naturally, we don't feel well within. But as usual, we have to show bravado outside. So, we do just that. And we cannot feel peace and harmony under these circumstances.
So, it is becomes yet another vicious cycle. At some point, you have to break the cycle by just telling yourself that you will throw away all that does not work for you and start afresh.
I hear people saying, "But now I am too old to start afresh." Really ? Is that a reason or an excuse? Think it through! The feeling of being old again hides very, very old "scar" tissues which get thicker and thicker because you let them.
Hmmm....hard work releasing old pains, right? And yet, there is no choice and no other way to reclaim your invaluable soul.
Therefore, let's wake up NOW, from whichever stage and state we happen to be in.

Medication vs. meditation!

Medication vs. meditation! We can heal ourselves. Once you start on medication, we fail to trust our capacity to heal our self and start using medication as a crutch.
It has been proven that intention is the core energy. It can change the composition of the cells. Reiki, the energy that works on faith and acceptance, very often heals in a few minutes. But many don't believe miracles can happen this way. But I speak with personal experience and that of several others.
It would be ideal for every school to teach one energy healing technique along with leading a spiritual life while also being in the real world. Just imagine how wonderful it would be if, along with Math and other subjects and languages, we could heal ourselves with the techniques taught so early in life that we are able to live as healthy and positive people all through our journey.

Cleansing exercises

Don't say what you don't mean. Don't misread the words of another.
Don't insult people even if you don't like them very much.
Don't add fuel to fire unnecessarily.
Don't be dishonest. Don't be untrue to yourself.
Don't keep grudges.
These are a few energy cleansing exercises. The real core of life are these unbelievably simple rules which are so unbelievingly difficult to follow today.
Every day, we battle with such conflicts. Both within us and with others. When it is cloudy, we raise our eyes upwards to look for the sun to come out. When we have polluted energies, why don't we look for ways to clean them?

Learning

I have learnt that what is inside is outside and we attract people, events and situations accordingly to inevitably experience our karma. I have this personal theory that every road we choose to traverse will have some karma experience for each of us.
This reminds me of many tales we heard as children. I am able to relate to them and connect with them majorly. The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland and many more. In each of these, so many wonderful animals, nature and other creatures came out to help unconditionally. These tales are really like life. On every path, help is available in different forms. And every experience a new learning. We see new signs.
So, even today, I go back to the fairy tales with joy in my heart because they were simple and profound and are symbolic for us even now. And they make you a child again which is a real bonus . Most of us have forgotten how to become children again. As they say, a child is the father of man.

Conversions

The current debate...conversions! We are so hung up on religious identities and intolerance of other religions that there are dedicated groups actively engaged in conversions. To what gain? Power? Controlling minds?
Isn't it strange that no one thinks of conversion of their thoughts, destructive emotions, speech and actions? Even if we gloss over the conversion part, I don't understand what kind of believers of a religion would want to convert others. Because enlightened people would live and let live.
Recently, there has been a picture of a temple in Dubai making rounds on whatsapp which shows a Hindu priest conducting a pooja and a Sheikh holding the pooja tray next to him. How beautiful and truly spiritual is this!
Conversions are so superficial. The soul has no religion. We just need reasons to ignite fires to control the masses. If you really mean business, why don't you convert yourself, first from prejudices and hatred and second, from any kind of emotional negativity?
If this happens, conversions will be a thing of the past.

Group behavior

The human mind can be really fickle if we don't watch out! Its likes and dislikes oscillate much more than the changing seasons. Maybe, in current times, the seasons are also becoming as unpredictable as people.
We must really ask ourselves why we are so lacking in consistency and why should our will prevail each time? This seems to be a huge reason for our inconsistency. "I"..."Mine"...Yes sir! We salute you. It is and has to be only you and you... amazing! And this would also be fine if there were no frequent variations in what came out of that "I" and "mine". But the inconsistencies within short term consistencies which I am calling "fickle" here seem to be endless.
Especially when in a group. Group behavior, if you notice, is a typical example. A few days back, I wrote about insecurities. Frequently changing parameters of emotions are directly linked to the very same insecurities.
Often, we misinterpret, and sometimes, wantonly misinterpret the words or acts of people we are not too fond of or are even envious of. Where is the core issue? Of course, within us. We actually don't have the courage to be ourselves and fall short in our own eyes.
So, fickleness leads to oscillations, and this soon becomes a chain. Like riding a bike downhill without a break. We don't know how and where we are going to end up. Because the bike is driven by "I" and "mine" whereas the consistency is due to the ability to control the brakes .These are the "we" which we fail to activate.

Rejoices

"I've noticed that a lot of people don't notice the obvious.
Then I found that it's not their eyesight, but their prejudices, that clouds their vision."
Thank you, Pankaj, for this insightful post. You hit the nail on the head. Prejudices blind us to everything good within us and outside us. Blinding prejudices. Hate inspiring prejudices. Arrogant prejudices. Obsessive prejudices.
They dehumanize people and make them forget who they are. God decided to make this fantastic specimen, the human being, and then played mischief. He gave him an ego as a huge obstacle which would actually make the human feel good on the surface, so much so that it would ultimately camouflage the real pitfalls.
On the other hand, the soul which humans are meant to seek was embedded within each human but man would seek only what he can see outside of him with his eyes. The inner eye was disabled by the ego.
…and so, man is overpowered and misled constantly by his own sense of self importance and a lack of cognizance and understanding of his inner world. He revels in artificial light and rejoices in the myth that it is real light.

Compassion

If you look back at your life events, you will always find some people that you have had issues with. Some you forgive and from some you seek forgiveness. And you also forgive yourself for hurting people and mistakes made.
However, I wish it were that simple! Actually, it IS that simple to my mind. But not so to other people. In everyone's life, there are some people who refuse to forgive. Hmmm... out of our control, right? But how do we react to this non forgiveness? Arrogantly? Humbly? Aggressively? With compassion and understanding?
You might say, "But it is not about me". But really speaking, it IS about you, too, because you were a party to the interaction.
It is interesting to see how such incidents confront you and how you need to make peace with them, at least from your side. You are not responsible for the emotions or decisions of others. You can only clean up your slate. And that's what should be done. When things and people stop affecting you is when you are on your way to real freedom.

Writing and sharing

Writing and sharing is such a cleansing and elevating experience! Each time I write, I add a new thought to my own thought bank. Something to chew on. Like, wow! I have unearthed another aspect, another angle, deepening my understanding that much more.
After a while, it tends to become an addiction. There is always an excitement before developing a thought. Like, what will I discover next?
Thoughts being the prime energy, this energy expands into new horizons as we write, think and write again. Every spoken word, every line read somewhere…just about everything is available for thought application if there is enough awareness and interest.

Regressive

A very positive way to look at life and its unfolding. The dice turns regularly even in a dice game. But the two situations are so different!
The dice game is happening for a while only and on the outside. Externally. Life situations have each of us at the core. It is very difficult to externalize situations as if they are happening to someone else. We can smile sportingly if we lose a game like Ludo or Snakes & Ladders and move on. But can we equally smile away losing in real life circumstances? Failure becomes the repeated theme of our minds. And moving on a completely unavailable option to the mind at that point.
What this post says is to understand that every throw of the dice in life, whether "1" or "6" is designed to teach something. And a lesson learnt is certainly a step forward.
When people talk of being "regressive", it only means lessons are unlearnt and repeated negative patterns established.

Physical level

All our lives we try and try and try...to grow and grow and grow...
We run to every opportunity there is...for healing. Different methods, a rehash of similar methods, meditation camps, workshops, tarot cards, astrology, angels, pranayama, pranic healing, reiki, hypnotherapy...etc....
And once you have been everywhere, you realize that nothing really changes if you don't change yourself through self practice. At that stage, you feel you have read enough, listened enough, imbibed enough. And now it is time to experience. This is perhaps the starting point for change. And this is what is the most significant landmark in your life. Whatever else you may do with your life on the physical level.
