Consequences

We do many things during the day. Some are planned and some just come along on the spur of the moment.

But examine them and ask yourself, how many were done for others and how many for yourself? It is really interesting to see what you discover about yourself.

We are often judged by what we do not do to fulfil expectations which are not ours. And to placate and pacify and satisfy others, how much we compromise on our own energies.

But when you reach a point of balance and understand that everything you do has a consequence not in your control entirely, but your intentions have been clear, then you will begin to take steps towards what you feel fulfilled with and for which you don’t mind being misjudged by those who actually feel better if they bend you to their will.

And that is rampant all over, within human beings. Within the mental aberrations of humans, we have to achieve our mental balance. If you feel you are doing right by you, more often than not, people also understand this.

We need to keep to our path. Yes, it may be fraught with some discomfort but it is all better for you in the long run.

Personal behaviour

The thing about personal behaviour is that though you may get several accolades or critics by your side, ultimately, you are your own judge. Your motives are your own , and not always fathomed by the onlookers. So, it is probably better to be in a state of equilibrium on the outside and introspective within. No one is going to give you medals or punish you .
Generally, our conscience does all of this. Because we can't hide from ourselves, right ? The buck , therefore, stops right here, with us. It cannot be passed on. And hence, the periodic need for introspection.

Personality

Today, a lot of families are scattered all over the world and due to sheer logistics, distances do not always foster closeness. Inevitably, a certain formality creeps in sometimes. We get used to living without proximity with them.
But, the flip side is true also, and ties are fostered in many ways. True, that little change in personality can be a revelation when you meet family members after sometime. But by the same token, changes in us must also be embraced and adapted too. We often forget that this IS two way traffic.
Nevertheless, generally, it has become easier to keep connected today, what with Skype, Face Time, whatsapp calls etc. But, as they say, if hearts don't connect, all this connectivity is only designed towards wanting to keep in touch from afar at a comfortable distance.

Repercussion

They say extra pure and sensitive souls are loved by God. We also see such souls suffer in this world. Big time. These are definitely old souls who have had many lives, some difficult ones. And those who want to make their own way against what is ordained tend to struggle more.
If something really huge , like a curse, follows you into this life, you can really spend your whole life where love and success will elude you. Where people around you will oppose you. Where you could wonder why this is happening ?
When something happens in repeated patterns, you know apast life has followed you. Makes it a tad easier to understand but not to experience. Because you take wrong decisions. You tend to upset people. You could sometimes isolate yourself. ... and so on. The repercussions and results are many.
Some agonised souls may switch off from the world and simply exist. Others may become withdrawn or depressed. To make the most of a life is a very different task for different people.

Get a life!

When there is drought, even a few drops of rain have the power to cause excitement. The kindness of people is similar. Every little sincere act inspires gratitude. The absence of genuine kindness is like a drought. So, suddenly, when you come across people who you haven't had a close connection with but who spontaneously offer help, it makes you can feel those raindrops fall on your heart.
Life has become very clinical, mechanical ....like dance without expression, like music discordant, like a house which is not a home....I guess, I find the soul missing in many around me. And I often feel that souls on the earth must be experiencing much loneliness. Imagine being connected and not realizing it! Being lonely when there really is no need to be so. Deliberately hurting someone , not knowing that it is definitely coming back to you...or often knowing it but still doing it...succors for inviting grief.
Oh! Humans! Get a life!

Personalities

I just had to write on the post below. I don't think we even KNOW how much in fear we live, in the name of love. We cling on to our "near and dear" in the name of caring, sharing, unity etc. Parents claim to love children. Children claim equally to love their parents. Friends claim to love each other. But often, we see so many power games being played. The more rampant the ego, the more power play we see. Powerful or powerless? In control or controlled?
We readily compromise our personalities, our choices, swallow our tears when hurt , smile when we want to scream foul play or blue murder....haven't we seen enough misery in "families" , in fact, in most groups? ...and in the bargain, we lose ourselves trying to procure a bit of love, to feel wanted. We don't realize we go along with the wrong, the unjust, even the callous because we want to feel good in being a part of people, and then we stop thinking. We just have to toe the line. And we do...all the time. It is easy. Exercising the right choice and thinking for ourselves may set us apart ...that is scary, to say the least.
Exactly as the post says. We are so afraid of "losing" others that the fear of loneliness results in our opting to lose ourselves instead for a temporary happy feeling.

How heavy a price is this for our soul! Our journey is alone. We are like passengers on a train who meet for a while and disembark when we reach our destination. I have never seen any passenger telling another to go home with them and live and die together. Have you?
But we know of people who had a mission and who had the courage to forgo many an impediment to retrieve their inner core and energy from the people, places and events to which they had lost it. So don’t be afraid to lose people, be afraid of losing yourself.

Detachment

The greatest awareness to build up is that anything can happen anytime! Complacence is the last thing we should have, especially about our health. Someone just bends down or picks up a heavy bag and is afflicted with a slip disc issue. Another sneezes and has a retinal detachment.

Car accidents happen in a fit of anger, depression or rage.....we think it happens to other people , only until such time as , much to our shock and disbelief, it happens to us. A lesson for constant awareness of our own health first...always exercises caution!
