Transformation

There are speculations now and then about the institution of marriage dying a slow death. I don’t think anyone can deny that marriage is hard work. However, basically, any relationship is hard work .

The essential ingredient in any relationship is commitment. But commitment is also the end result of caring and faith in the relationship.

In every day and age, this is a common denominator : commitment. It is not a fashion statement but a genuine fact. It means the ability to accept another, love despite differences and understand above all, that everyone is imperfect and that perfection is only in the heart , that is, in the love we feel for another.

But what happens in marriage sometimes, is the feeling of ownership of another which is the main cause of the wear and tear. It is a connection between two peopke who are individuals and who forge a bond based on a long term commitment. But still, two separate individuals generally from different backgrounds.

It does require much wisdom, much acceptance of each other and much understanding to not let any ego interference spoil relationships.

We really need to spend more time on our steady introspection and constant accent on transformation. Otherwise, we can miss out on the wonderful experience of inner change and the joy it presents to those of us who incorporate the change .

Probability

Sometimes, we reach a deadlock within ourselves. Which way to go? What to do? These are times when probably we don't want to do a trade off to make choice. We want it all.
I think it would be great at such times, as someone said, to write a letter to your future self. Great idea! To visualize your future self and then make choices, how do I want to be in future? What kind of a person? Accordingly, you make your decisions today. There is less probability of going wrong. And we will learn to take corrective measures more easily.

Personality

Today, a lot of families are scattered all over the world and due to sheer logistics, distances do not always foster closeness. Inevitably, a certain formality creeps in sometimes. We get used to living without proximity with them.
But, the flip side is true also, and ties are fostered in many ways. True, that little change in personality can be a revelation when you meet family members after sometime. But by the same token, changes in us must also be embraced and adapted too. We often forget that this IS two way traffic.
Nevertheless, generally, it has become easier to keep connected today, what with Skype, Face Time, whatsapp calls etc. But, as they say, if hearts don't connect, all this connectivity is only designed towards wanting to keep in touch from afar at a comfortable distance.

Repercussion

They say extra pure and sensitive souls are loved by God. We also see such souls suffer in this world. Big time. These are definitely old souls who have had many lives, some difficult ones. And those who want to make their own way against what is ordained tend to struggle more.
If something really huge , like a curse, follows you into this life, you can really spend your whole life where love and success will elude you. Where people around you will oppose you. Where you could wonder why this is happening ?
When something happens in repeated patterns, you know apast life has followed you. Makes it a tad easier to understand but not to experience. Because you take wrong decisions. You tend to upset people. You could sometimes isolate yourself. ... and so on. The repercussions and results are many.
Some agonised souls may switch off from the world and simply exist. Others may become withdrawn or depressed. To make the most of a life is a very different task for different people.

Arguments

Arguments are only for winning or losing a point of view. It becomes a personal issue to be proven right. Never mind the logicality or authenticity of the point of view.
On the other hand, if you discuss, you may arrive at what is really the right view. The former is ego driven. The latter, based on maturity. Because it is all about what is right.
It would be interesting to observe how many arguments one has had vis a vis how many discussions, nothing like a little introspection here.
