Karmic experiences
An open and educated mind thinks beyond
personal desires and looks at the various angles of its actions the options
available as also the different consequences that might arise. There are a
number of people who seem to be living in a bubble, in an alternate world ,
beyond objective reality and these are , for sure, more prone to shock waves
from life . Why ? Because they never figured out that what they wanted might
not actually happen and something else might happen. They never thought of
alternative and god forbid there could be a heavy price to pay.
We forget that the unseen hand of God
strikes hard sometimes when you are oblivious to everything other than
yourself. Definitely, there is merit in observing certain good principles in
life and support those who are an integral part of your life. Who YOU chose to
bring into your life and out of all options, know that compassion goes hand in
hand with support and that we all have feet of clay without exceptions.
We may be born with a silver or even golden
spoon in our mouths. But humility before our karmic experiences along with
understanding where we are straying will go a long way in.

Honesty
It is refreshing to see honesty and
forthrightness in a person in these times of guile and pretence. There is
automatically a “don’t care” attitude in such people because they are who they are.
They don’t really bother about being liked or not. They say it as it is and
actually, earn many friends precisely because of their honesty.
Isn’t it but natural that you have a great
sense of comfort with such friends? They are frank but not judgmental. They
like you for who you are, not because of who you pretend to be.
These are rare gems that you hold on to.
Life becomes very simple around them. And you can be yourself with them, which
is a huge bonus.

Disappointments
Grief sometimes has a very deep impact.
Often, very deep disappointments with very close people can also become a
source of grief. What you least expect from a person can hit you hard. So, try
not to let the feeling run too deep or it will affect your health.
As I was discussing with someone, as per
our tradition, duty and responsibility has been given a higher role than even
love. There is a very good reason for this. While doing your duty, you do what
you are supposed to do. What is right by you? You don't look at what the others
are doing. So, by not being reactive, it is easy to know your
"dharma" and fulfill it. No emotion. Health remains intact. It is a
win situation for you. You are actually working from your higher self Great way
to be.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness in each present moment has the
power to erase all past recordings of all lifetimes. Sounds easy? It sure can
be. But we constantly remind ourselves that it is NOT easy. Why because,
actually, we don't want to let go.
Just imagine. When we are in a crowd, do we
remember what happened ten years ago, while we are being jostled and pushed? Naturally
not because we are busy trying to keep our balance and prevent ourselves from
falling, getting injured right?
But when a crowd of memories jostle and
push your mind, the tendency is to let them knock you down and injure you,
isn't it? And your whole personality can change drastically in reaction to
these injuries.
But, while being mindful in the present
moment, you are focused on just what is happening in that moment. And it
therefore, takes that one instant to forget all else. And if you can continue practicing
this, one day, you will reach a state of constant mindfulness.

Gratitude
Come to think of it, we don't offer
gratitude often enough. We are not aware enough that the burning heat of life
does not touch us in extremes. Yes, there are challenges for all of us. But,
many of us tend to over amplify those challenges and make a huge deal without realizing
that there are worse case scenarios around us , the kind we would not be able
to tolerate even , just because we have not really been burnt to experience the
difference .
We have kind of escaped the areas that the
mines have been laid out or have lucked out in not entering those areas. And
what you don’t experience ever becomes a memory to learn from.
Somewhere along the way, each time we
forgot to say "thank you" to the Universe, we lost a little bit of
our energy. And each time we are filled with gratitude, we are transported to a
higher plane where there is happiness and joy. They are generated from within
and so, also, remain with us over a long period of time.

Destination
Any pursuit leads to its destination .
Anything prayed for with intensity happens. But, there is a proviso. There
should be no doubt. There should be consistency and relentless pursuit until it
is achieved. No deviation either. Getting off track spells lack of success
until you get back on track once again . It will now possibly take you longer
because you lost focus.
For those non achievers who felt
disappointed , they probably did not put their heart and soul into an activity
with one hundred percent positivity and certainty. Even one percent doubt could
distance you from reaching your destination. The trouble is, we are unable to
sense minute misgivings. Even those should not crop up.
Actually, there is a difference in
"doing" and " being done through you". The first is ego
driven. "I" am doing it. The second is what the Universe channels
through you. When and if we reach the latter state, there won't be a feeling
named "doubt". Because the doer and the action are one, not separate.
