Faith
Complications in the mind can block
progress in a big way. Just like a tangled chain needs straightening before it
can be effectively used, the mind needs to be simple and clear for optimum
functioning.
I do believe that a mind with fear knots up
faster. Fear brings with it many insecurities and external dependency as if to
cling on to that which is going to pass
away for sure. Because everything passes away and we can’t hold on to anything.
The subtle, causal body will carry all of
this fear into the next life if we are not vigilant. Though , I know it is very
hard to drop the false , despite knowing it is false. Such pleasure is false .
The pain is false as well. These just do not belong to “I”, the consciousness.
But it is easier said than done. The path
of cleansing can be really painful while it deletes the unwanted from the mind
and body, and from emotions which bind.
Just one thing is sure. Once we embark on
the spiritual path, the tests become gradually tougher but conversely, the help
from our group of guides also becomes clearer and more tangible through signs
and synchronicities.
Help is always at hand. Faith should make
that a conviction.

Path of Spiritual
I see people trapped in their self images
created by personal wealth, the power that it brings and the sycophants that
gather around. Attractive though completely illusional trappings ! And until
people actually extricate themselves from the “ I am great” illusion, they have
a long way to go in taking the path of spiritual thought.
There is a constant chatter about “ self
made” kings , so much drudgery and challenges before success … and so many
accolades ! But what is important is, what kind of humans do they develop into
? Remembering our roots in another space and knowing the world is transient
should be triggers for enjoying the success as good deeds from other lives
which gives a credit balance to enjoy worldly trappings. But at the end of the
day, they ARE traps if we don’t secure our virtuosity for the future.
Someone steeped in wrong doings goes to the
temple twice a day. When asked why, he laughs and says that he goes to wash off
his sins to sin more. Do we see any merit here ? Or is it just deep ignorance ?
Ultimately, there could be a late realisation of being on the wrong path in
many ways. But a lifetime is wasted. The opportunity has eluded us.
To keep our hearts and minds scrupulously
clean is the only way to go. And then, enjoying the success that is ours, is
commendable ! And god ordained, as everything is.

Ignorance
Progress starts with an intention to learn,
to improve from our programmed selves. All rage , anger comes from past
conditioning of the mind.
The huge difference between Duryodhana and
Arjun was the one single point .. that Duryodhan knew he was wrong but he did
not feel like doing the right. And Arjun wanted to learn from the advice of
Krishna.
God is on the side of one who wants to
change erroneous thought and behaviour .
There is something negative in us that
impels wrong behaviour, on the excuse that either the need to misbehave is all
consuming or the reactions are uncontrollable. In either case, it would be an
effort to want to change, preceded by a
sincere intention to recognise wrong as wrong and having the awareness to
transform that into right.
These are mere words for many, for this
process needs much time and energy as also deviation from the other
“comfortable” habits acquired over time.
This aspect is not and should not be prioritised only by senior citizens and those who are in the “vanaprastha” or “Sanyas” stage of life. In fact, it should start early in life to avoid future confusion and mistakes due to ignorance.
When I see the surge of self enquiry
abroad, I wonder what is the percentage of people In India that is aware its
own ancient knowledge and the beautiful truth that it teaches .
We really can’t hide behind the language
barrier of Sanskrit as the language of the texts. There are innumerable
channels available in several languages to remove the ignorance we happily live
with. We just have to tune in to the frequency with trust and faith.
For that to happen, a spark of self enquiry
needs to be lit within us.

Attitude
The fact is, we don’t see ourselves. If we
saw ourselves and observed carefully, many things we criticise in others are
present in us as well. And so, it is not correct for the pot to call the kettle
black. The polishing is to be done by us on ourselves.
We are so external all the time. We may be
sitting in bright light but instead of enjoying the illumination , we get
preoccupied with wondering about the darkness outside !
Appreciating what we are and what we have
is never done in full measure. Because, while looking out, we can just be one
dimensional. This is the human tragedy. What lies inside is often denied due to
fear and deep insecurities. And therefore, we see only a fragmented individual
when we look within. And that is unpalatable. Hence, instead of doing something
about it, we prefer to wish it away by distracting our minds into external
avenues.
Ultimately, we pay the price for this
attitude.

Peaceful
What we learn by experience is real
knowledge. We tend to make mistakes incessantly, often innocently , too,
because we don’t know the nature of people and what they are thinking .
Innocence and simplicity are two qualities
that are shunned . They don’t work in a crooked world. But if your world is not
crooked, you can still make it work to your advantage. You remain peaceful… in
your world and the rest does not matter.

Personality
When abuse becomes virtually a religion, manipulation becomes your second skin. What a pity that there are people who would be callous enough to abuse their own parents , let alone outsiders ! That anyone can be so self absorbed that all the filters in behaviour disappear.
We speak of upbringing , sensibilities,
grace, loyalty and all
Those fine endowments of our personality
which come from
The old world. But where IS that world ?
Thoughts of bygone eras are only memories ,
memories that bring you misery in the wake of the current scenario where ,
unless you are diplomatic with “family” also , more often than not, you have to
pay a huge price with being persecuted. Because love is not a currency that
works anymore. It is only the art of superficiality that gets you everywhere.
But ultimately, it is manipulation because it does not come from the heart.
I still have the ability to feel a sense of
shock, a disbelief , when I see such episodes being enacted. It gets difficult
to then focus on the beautiful side of life . The ugliness is too consuming !
At least for a while !

Experiences
Those of us who share experiences or are
healers have many stories to tell and many experiences of others and few
personal ones to share.. with the one idea .. to LEARN from.
There is much misery around but recoveries
are possible if we tell it as it is even when some feel that there is a cutting
edge to these notes. Well, what hurts must be healed. This is a simple formula
to follow.
It is ineffective to beat around the bush.
If I am doing something that is giving me grief, I would like to understand how
to do it different.
Personal slander on a facebook page is
unheard of unless one is very very insecure and chooses to take what is written
, personally.
We get so many forwards and posts everyday.
The content often strangely materialises as a sign. It is a message if we can
look at it deeply. I see God’s signs everywhere and these actually change not
only your mindsets but give you new insights to work with.
I admit that many posts come to me as a
mirror, exactly what the doctor ordered at that minute. So , if we change our
perspective towards posts and notes, we can discover a gold mine to improve us
in a big way.

Process of healing
Sometimes, in order to heal, you have to
let your heart break into a million pieces first. And accept that it is so.
So many generalisations ! So many pre
conceived notions ! And an equal amount of expectations ! Certainly not a good
recipe for living life.
So, wake up to the trigger and start the
process of healing. It is called balance, equanimity and realising our own
intrinsic nature, independent and not beholden to any soul, yet connected to
all.
