Stress

The human mind really puzzles me at times! Just like lawyers have a field day when families/partners war with each other, perhaps psychiatrists /counsellors also benefit when we humans get unnecessarily complicated and stress /anxiety become starting points for many other issues.

We bring on our own doom, as it were. Instead of being amicable and friendly and enjoying the money we make, we spend it on medical help. First, help in creating the problem, get affected, then run for help!

Really? And all because we are out of control! And out of values! Out of human feelings! We see it all around us, talk about it and yet, most of us are not quite there yet in terms of that vital transition that is so vital to our being.

Paying the price

Living your life with sound principles! Our generation is extremely fortunate that we were imparted these from a very young age. It has given us a strong core and the strength to bear the consequences brought before us. The common parlance is” paying the price” for what happens to us. But the angle of perspective may be looked into. We don’t really pay any price as such. That is only a feeling expressed in this terminology because paying a price really means you are doing something you don’t really want to a trade off.
There is no trade off when we live by principles. They light up our path and we walk on that path. Whatever comes our way, we overcome it because our training has depth. Not that there is no hurt, but that the way to remove this hurt has been taught to us. The core is strong.

Human nature

Getting disturbed by anything that we don't like and is actually happening is human nature. But everything we react negatively to is not bad for us. In fact, some of it is good for us. For example, if you are in a painful, unhappy relationship and it breaks naturally, it is, in fact, a release.
Conscious thinking keeps us abreast of such happenings and gives us the correct perspective and enables us to take a dispassionate view of every thought and happening. Conscious thought leads to conscious behavior which is more balanced than behavior dictated by the ego and defiance.
So, we look at the eye of the storm and then use our wisdom to determine its outcome that is relevant in our lives. And we will find that when storms blow over, often there is relief and peace in our lives. Every storm doesn't have to leave us devastated.

Perspectives in life

Generally, people have many different perspectives in life. Views on similar matters differ and widely sometimes. Each one of us values our way of thinking until it changes could be due to inner learning or external education.
Today, the main problem in society is the basic non acceptance of other viewpoints. Rather, intolerance to viewpoints other than our own.
Do we ever debate on why we don't look like clones of each other? We know and accept external appearances but can't do the same in any other manner. So, if color and case unite, they also divide. The same goes for everything else. Money, fame, values, culture, sophistication etc.
We worry more about the appearance of a glass rather than whether the water we are drinking from it is pure. Glass divides but water unites similarly religion. The belief in different gods or spiritual heads divides though the blood in the veins is the same in all and unites all mankind. Correction! SHOULD unite mankind.
Then what stupidity are we up to , and actually propagating that stupidity of divisions in every sphere ? The question is, do we see it that way? Never have we preferred to think we are right and everyone else is wrong. And we take along all those who think like us, whether our thinking is beneficial or destructive.
Unfortunately, that's how more and more individualistic groups form, each distancing from the other on account of lack of affinity. This extends beyond boundaries and intolerance rules the world. Peace is therefore, in pieces.
