Spiritual isolation

When you have an active conscience, you have to be prepared for and have the courage to face a certain amount of isolation. Remember, we live in kalyug? Who wants to awaken a deadened conscience which is exactly what you will be triggering by exhibiting a sample of your conscience. You are bound to be a threat to some.

I see spiritually strong people oozing an enormous amount of their inner light which draws people. And also, scares some other people who evidently have some amount of dark places within them.

I am beginning to understand the law of the Universe which says, what is below is also above. As the air over a mountain is rarified, so is the atmosphere around spiritually elevated people. And on that high level of consciousness, there would be very few people, hence the isolation.

Spiritual isolation is a natural graduation, which cannot be forced externally. You have to grow into it experientially. A blissful state!

Disentanglement vs detachment

Disentanglement vs detachment:
In these modern times, the one person who makes practical sense in terms of interpreting old values seems to be Sadguru. The important point to note is that everything comes back to each succeeding generation in a new package, with a certain twist.
One day, I was having a discussion on attachment with my guru and telling him how I wished to be detached like sadhus like him are. And he had smiled and said," even sadhus have attachments. I was a little thrown by that statement, purely because of my own mindset which I had cultivated by reading old texts and listening to many lectures of spiritual orators. Sometimes, introspection on some statements can fall short and belief systems formed by half knowledge.
Sadguru explains very convincingly that if you think detachment is what you are here for, you can find ways of dying right now, because you are not here to learn detachment. If you are not attached, how would you experience life, the purpose for which you were born? The reason we suffer is not due to attachment but the mind getting entangled with people, situations, and emotions.
When that happens, you cannot extricate yourself from the experience whereas the idea is to experience and move on.
We can even call it living each moment completely. And living IN the moment each minute and moving ahead with a clean slate each time and from each experience. Somewhat like the magic white board which turns white every time, after being written on in many different colors.

Belief system

The conditioning that happens between childhood and adulthood is responsible for adult behavior to a very large extent. What is right and what is wrong is dictated by the learning at that time. Of course, there are cases where the children are sometimes complete throw backs on the elders in the family.
Life is pretty much a mix of first unlearning , the relearning and new learnings as well. It is not true that everything we believe in works all our lives. Some belief systems have a short life and must be looked at to find them obsolete very often, with dire consequences. And some belief systems might be workable longer.
The most difficult thing to do is to keep changing because it might end up resulting in confusion and a certain amount of fickleness. To be solid and stand by your values is one thing and to become rigid in your beliefs totally different. The former is highly respected but the latter could go terribly wrong if not thought through.
Something's work for some and for sometime , while some things work for others for a while. Given the changing nature of creation. But there is no ONE formula or belief that works for all.
