Realization

They don’t say “old is gold” for nothing! It takes a long time for feelings to percolate down into your heart and only then can you bypass the idiosyncrasies of a person and let them find a place in your heart. It takes a long while and a lot of letting go of the superficial nature to find something deeper.

But once in a while and rarely, you do come across a soul match that was waiting for the right time to come into your life.

When you are down and out, this happens strangely and quite suddenly!

Life is full of unexpected twists and turns, with a realization that nothing is in our control but the one who rules our destinies also is merciful enough to put up with many foolishness’s of his children who are riddled with ignorance and yet, so loved by HIM, giving us innumerable chances to see HIM clearly by doing HIS bidding.

Counting all the blessings every day.

Journey

Sometimes, when the world lashes out at you, you react with random things. Angry and quoting many past events which have no bearing on any present situation. And that’s not ok. It is a realization that dawns after many such episodes.

When you register anything negative, letting it go immediately without storing it is wisdom. Only, we don’t wear those imaginary helmets which would slide off reactions without storing them.

When keeping the mind clean becomes a necessity, it becomes easier. As we move into different phases in our karmic cycle, this is a great way to keep tossing out any thought or reaction that may become an impediment in your journey.

People will be people. Why worry? Why not worry, instead, about how much you can face yourself in your own mirror and find yourself smiling at it one day? Perhaps in triumph!

Realization

It is a natural human tendency to look at the outside world and, according to our value systems, find others to be lacking or otherwise. The catch phrase here is” according to our values systems”.

The entire judgement factor stems from this. We all build up our own value systems according to who we are and what our experiences are. Different things work for different people. At different times and we keep changing as wisdom dawns.

Each of us therefore, has to give each one their due. There is really no need to invade someone else’s space with analysis and criticism.

Anyway, criticism borders on “I am better than you” aspect which is not quite right. And you will see the evidence of this in the fact that people you criticize have their own friends and followers. Evidently then, what they live with are not wrong principles but different from yours. You may not agree but that’s ok. You don’t need to harbor any feelings about that. Letting go of what is not compatible with your energy is vital to growth.

At the end of the day, we need to recognize that each one has a different journey and the universe has the capacity to hold and protect all of us.

Yes, we do have to keep learning and evolving till we teach the truth about ourselves. But that is the extent and the ultimate for our journey, as it is for the others. How soon we will reach that point of realization, depends on our thinking, understanding and reflecting on ourselves. And then proceeding to work on ourselves as we go along.

“Live and let live”. Try and live well and with awareness of our thoughts, our actions and what we need to cleanse from our huge bank of memories.

Our memories spark our likes and dislikes. We need to keep away from both.

Gratitude

Someone has rightly said that success without planning is luck. And success with effort and struggle is an achievement. Envy therefore, has no value. All of us can create our own goals and work hard to achieve them. There is no other way, unless the credit balance of your “punya” gives you a place you perhaps did not “earn” like, being born into a wealthy family.

One really has to reflect very seriously and deeply on where one’s journey is each moment. And how much one is capable of in terms of truthfully assessing the self. We do tend to block what we don’t intrinsically like about ourselves, but cannot change.

New experiences need courage. Comfort and repetitive living will keep you from growth. One way to start the process of growth is to question everything we think, say and do. The weeds need to be pulled out, however painful, for the plant to grow in a healthy way.

Every year, we make resolutions. Some of us fall back into tested patterns and achieve more stagnation of the mind. Unable to heal our hurts and complexes, understanding that we can start afresh from the day the realization dawns that our thinking is not growth oriented.

There are so many accents on self-help today. We need to make an intention and immerse ourselves in this attempt while doing our usual routine. As they say, anything, even a mundane chore, can be done in different ways and joy derived from it. All we need is a simple mind with a clear intention.

And let us not forget the people who have nurtured us, even if it was a ” cruel to be kind” attitude in an attempt to teach us the right values.  Respect for all forms of life is imminent in our journey to find ourselves. Because it is linked with how much we respect ourselves. So, love and compassion are the two most vital prerequisites for personal evolution. For us and otgers. They start with gratitude and blessings for one and all.

The vastness of Ourselves

The minute advaita vedanta comes into your life, you come alive like a dying plant being watered back to health again. How many confusions , misrepresentations and mindsets we live with because we fail to Understand the vastness of ourselves. It is so amazing and really the grace of God that a few months back, I chanced upon a talk by Swami Sarvapriyanand ji on you tube. I haven’t looked back since! I am not surprised he has followers all over the world. To me, it seems as if he is THE teacher in modern times, one who can be so completely logical in teaching such an abstract subject! You cannot help but understand the finer nuances because he just dins them into your head tirelessly and unceasingly. Truly amazing! This world needs a guru like him. My respectful namaskar to him! Consequences

Let every experience polish your shine more and more. Detach yourself from it and you will see what that experience is trying to show you about yourself. Every such realization adds shine to your persona. Don’t get involved in the judgmental aspects of goodness and adversity of them. That is just your perspective. In reality, the implications are vast and consequences far reaching... much more than you know.

Conversations

As you age with experiences, now on an emotional high and on a low the next minute, with all kinds of upheaval and painful learning, there comes a time when everything levels out and you just count your blessings every day. And everything is a bonus, either to make you happy or teach you lessons.

I guess negativity is so exhaustingly futile that this realization is enough to shun it. Whether you allowed it through people or situations, it never helped, only hindered, most importantly, your personal growth.

So, these days, one is left talking to oneself about these things if not to God. My conversations with God are on the increase. Nice to know you have a friend you can talk to about just about everything and who knows you so well. Answers come from within when you genuinely ask. Quite amazing!

Liberation

When you start evolving, at every stage you will meet people who are at a similar level. Sometimes, when some people naturally fall out of your life , you tend to react emotionally. You might not realize that you are beginning to attract people compatible with your own energy. And as you become more and more positive and light in your being, you will stop worrying about the opinion others have of you. That day will be a day of liberation.

Happiness Quotient

Your “swadharma”, your inner calling! One of the major preoccupations that can elude you for a long time, it is what comes to you naturally. Something you gave an aptitude for, something that gives you happiness. And you enjoy it.
But how do you know what is your calling in life? Especially today, when there are opportunities galore, unlike earlier when there were very few lines one could take. There is every chance of confusion or of making a wrong choice.
All achievers have had one thing in common, that they have enjoyed every minute and been passionate about what they did.
However, it can be a challenge for multi talented people. They may be good at academics, arts, culture and much more. People have been known to change their paths when they discover their true inner calling.
The best way is to observe what feelings your activities / your career path are generating. Be aware, discuss with your teachers and friends, if and when required, and go with your happiness quotient.
I have seen that those who do not have a calling don’t end up developing their personalities or confidence levels and become complex and with complexes also.
Let it suffice for me to know that I have my own calling like everyone else does and I need to find it. Have faith that it is there and try to
Find it, even with help and advice from others if you are confused. Once you find it and work on it, you will find yourself appreciating others instead of falling short in your eyes.

Vibrations

Old souls returning to the earth to help raise the vibrations! The kids today are remarkable in their maturity. You just can't treat those babies and kutchi koo with them like you did with the earlier generations. If you do that, you get a strange feeling like they are looking at you and thinking, "isn't this aunty silly?" An amusing thought but you will see how mature their eyes are.
The one wonderful trait they exhibit is inclusiveness. If there are ten adults sitting in a group, they will address each one. Something even adults don't do. In fact, adults are often more exclusive than inclusive due to having developed strong likes and dislikes.
Inclusiveness should be emphasized in schools to take this kind trait forward. Especially amongst the kids in general because, very often, parents are heard complaining about some kids being bullies, being mean etc. Sadly, this also depends on the parents who are care takers at home and need to provide love and security to their kids.

Karmic bondage

It is very logical that love has to be its own reward. Because many cannot recognize it and many do not know how to receive it. Many do not want it either because they don't want the burden of having to return it. Believe it or not!
You know, you can't give what you don't have or don't feel. Even if it is hard to accept, the fact is that each individual journey is a karmic one. If you have close previous karma, you will receive love from those souls. Need not be in the role of a family member from where it is naturally expected.
Once, an astrologer told a friend that the child she had miscarried was a soul who was out for karmic retribution. Subsequently, the same or similar soul was born to her. And she is constantly trying to heal herself and that soul. There was no escape.
So, karmic realities from other lives just have to be experienced and continuously healed. For, there is no blame anywhere. What goes around come around? If we don't accept this, we can live a life of misery till our last day.
Of course, if all the people realize this, we can free ourselves from that karmic chain. But even if one person heals, that person can get free from karmic bondage.
To believe or not believe this, we need to analyze our relationships and bring in some wisdom thereafter, if our mission is to be happy. Otherwise, we continue with our inevitable cycle of cause and effect. Oscillating like a yoyo between misery and happiness based of the quality of the karmic fallout.

Philosophies of life

Isn't it amazing, this zest for life and will to live? Despite lives ending around us and all kinds of ailments plaguing humanity, we still carry on. Philosophies of life emerge every day. Some listen. Some listen and practice. Some don't listen. Some don't want to know and are happy in their world. Seasons come and go. Wrinkles start to show, last on the face and limbs. Those on the mind are older but when they manifest outwardly, we begin to take notice.
We are humans. We will regress some, progress some, cry some, laugh some, and carry on living life with all that we have, good, bad and indifferent. Who is anyone to say what these mean anyway? Because they mean so many different things to so many different people that you get exhausted from trying to fathom and analyze. It's like you roam all over the world and then finally, come back and rest only in your home.
