Sense of Humility

Holding space for someone else is the ultimate act of kindness. There is always a danger to end up strengthening your ego by attaching yourself to tags. Like kind, spiritual, helpful etc. Are we cultivating a sense of humility or are we talking about it to everyone willing to listen, and also with an attempt to impress? That is EGO attachment. And culminating in arrogance very often.

There are people who are quietly philanthropic. You never know how silently they act. These are genuine souls who don’t seek praise.

Life is all about carving out who we want to be at the end of the day.

Wisdom

There is no time. Procrastination is not a wise choice. Life unfolds in very unexpected ways. Do what you wanted to do tomorrow, today. Of course, if it is important enough to you.

I have seen too many people suffering with guilt and regret. I have seem them acting out of impulse and not wisdom, from ego more than compassion.

We don’t know the truth and so, act out of sheer ignorance, attached to our negative personality and unable to let it go.

There need not be a tomorrow for all we know. There may not be a chance to right our wrongs. There may not be an opportunity to pick up the pieces we walk on.

So, find your inner silence. Find your clarity of thought. Allow transformation and find divine grace within.

Souls in the form of family and friends, associates are all there for a purpose connected with your salvation. Embrace the lessons they teach.

Ultimately, you will have to let everything and everyone go.

Silence

There are daily stimuli and our responses to them. But we seldom have the awareness of that minuscule pause between them. That pause goes unnoticed because of our lack of awareness. And therefore, that pause which is actually there for us to respond with thought and wisdom becomes a reaction. Only because the ego just flies in to that pause and takes over to change our would have been response to a hasty reaction.

Naturally, if an object comes hurtling towards you, you will instinctively change course to avoid it. But when it comes to a stimulus coming from objects of our dislike, we retaliate instead of changing course at that time. We prefer a collision, a clash also, more than our peace.

This is really strange when we think of it. Two responses to similar stimuli.

People think silence is weakness but it can be the most powerful tool in our evolution. We don’t have to respond each time. Silence works very well. It gives clarity to our thoughts so much so that when we act, it becomes an act of wisdom.

Journey

All these years, having been in denial and argued and vented, finally, truth has dawned! Everything happens for a reason. Everything was meant to be. We thought we were taking the decisions but, was it so? Really? Were our reactions valid then?

Actually, what is meant to stay, stays. And what is meant to get over, just gets over. WE reach a saturation point in a lot of the cases. And in some, the choice is not ours.

And yet, all our lives, we fight and stress, and refuse to let go to move forward. We forget that karma is at work constantly. Our debts call out. Also our credits are interspersed with those debts we must pay. When we experience the joy of good karma, we forget easily. What remains and sustains is the unpleasant memories.

As the wise have wisely said, cut thoughts. Cut memories. They are the source of all the attachment and egos at play in our lives. And when there are no thoughts, it is automatic surrender to a higher power. This is the ultimate in our journey, isn’t it?

Perspective

There is no healing like a free and fair discussion between two people who have had an issue. You should value a relationship enough to keep the bonds going.

Always opt to build a bridge first. There is never any point in being drastic. And always try to see the other point of view. Even if you don’t agree with each other, talk it out, understand that perspectives are different, amicably agree to disagree and close the episode. With a little love and caring, you can do so. This attitude has maturity.

Of course, there is always the usual ego reaction which borders on the breaking of ties. This is rampant but very sad. It need not be.

This world is suffering from a major disconnection. And it is not doing humanity much good. Old ties are breaking and new ones forming. A natural family is getting diluted and friends are being called “extended family”. Isn’t that contradictory, this calling friends “family” when the original family is being torn apart? Ironic!

Our thinking is so topsy turvy, we don’t realize it’s all negative thought inspired by the ego, and nothing else.

Sincere

Every attempt to sincerely cleanse yourself is painful, like pulling your teeth. The mind just does not want to go there and look into any flaws whereas, that is a priority.

It is so much easier to discuss the flaws of others because they are in front of you. You cannot be in front of yourself, can you? Yes! You can, but you won’t! Because it is darned painful! After all, you are battling with your ego which cannot stand being exposed.

So how will you deal with this ?

Comparison

I have found “c’est la vie” to be a wonderful way to live. “So be it!” Imagine, if we could use this in our daily lives! How much stress and strife we could avoid in matters which are really beyond our control!

But, oh no! We will fight every inch of the way to turn the circumstances and people in our favor and kill ourselves in the bargain, while God has the last laugh at our silly egos!

We always get “enough” for our sustenance. There is a reason for everything. Cursing is not going to help. Comparisons are going to help even less. A raging battle within us will kill our positivity and our initiatives.

Sometimes, life is as clear as the sun shining brightly. And sometimes, it is a cloudy sky. C’est la vie. Unnatural circumstances like Covid forced us indoors. Did grumbling / crying help? Ultimately, we had to buckle down to the lifestyle demanded by those times. Something will happen against your wishes often. These are challenges to see how we respond / react. The aura is our space and to keep a clean aura, without letting negativity in, is the sanest thing we can do for ourselves.

So, let go! Let it be! So be it! These are miracle phrases if we can practice them. We all have a rightful place in this world, just not necessarily where WE want to be.

Forgiveness

Please don’t hate family and don’t practice enmity either. There is a karmic reason for being together. There may be unfinished business from other lives that needs healing. That is why we have been given a chance by the universe to be related by blood. Healing is what we must do, not by distancing but with love and forgiveness.

There is always goodness in everyone. We just fail to connect with it , both in ourselves AND in others. If there was no goodness, we would not be connecting with anyone.

When we put friends above family, we forget that those very friends have issues with their own families. Then why do we find it in our hearts to shun family and make “friends” outside?

Growing up, we had our siblings and cousins as friends. Today, there are distances. Very unfortunate that our egos are more separatist today !

Let us try and rethink our relationships, especially with regard to where we have failed in wisdom. Because where there is love and forgiveness, there is always wisdom.

Observation

People who oscillate between not liking but grudgingly also admiring certain aspects of a person complicate the relationship. Personal likes and dislikes basically depend on your self-esteem status. and from that stems all judgement, all complexes and all adverse action. Even competitive, ego inspired action. “I am better” syndrome. Yes, if you are better every day, that is wonderful! But if that observation is in comparison with someone else, that is wrong thinking.

We know we are not intrinsically like that but we are compelled by our mind pollution that tells us what will makes us feel good. And an afflicted mind is more misleading than otherwise.

People talk so much about mind control. As a healer, I believe that to cleanse the mind, though more difficult, is more permanent. Controls can slip but a cleansed mind carries no contradictions.

The world is buzzing with talks on the need for meditation, relaxation: anti stress, natural medication for cleansing our mental, emotional and physical toxins.

Expectations

Some expectations are so unrealistic, they are often amusing if we didnt get all hot and bothered about them. There is so much ego and so many self esteem issues around that god only knows when this realisation would dawn and when working on this trait would even begin ! For it takes a lot of humility and self search to ferret out these subtle negativities from the dark corners of our minds.

Even on social media, we share so many posts that we think will benefit our friends and us. But , there are people who get offended for not “liking” or not crediting the person who shared that post with us  which we shared with others.

Now, twenty people might have sent the same post and if all of them wanted to be acknowledged, how would that work ? And they haven’t even created or written that post .

I find it amazing ! We all share whatever we feel adds value to

Our page. Being a healer, I like to share posts which are thought provoking and will add to our journey. That’s all.
