Generosity

 Generosity in people is a rare trait. Their smiles don’t come from the heart. Praise is even less forthcoming.

I have always wondered what smiling at and praising someone takes away from us. Anything? Nothing.

If we can only find ourselves comfortable and confident, both the traits are very natural and very human.

Yes, low self-esteem and feeling inadequate may be partially or wholly responsible!

There is no option but to examine these feelings and learn to overcome them. Because they are only perceptions that the world has gifted us . We don’t want or deserve such gifts. Instead, there are gifts we can give ourselves, like a high self, a right value system and confidence to stand alone if need be, within the light of truth .

Stay within your own light. And if there is darkness in any areas, dispel it and replace it with light.

Perspective

 You never walk alone. This feeling of being alone or of loneliness is just a huge lack of awareness. An illusion out of ignorance.

The truth is, I walk with my spirit. I am my own friend, my own genie who walks within me. And that wholesomeness never gives me a lack of anything.

Have you ever tried to work with this perspective? Love yourself first. That fountain is enough for everyone.

The sun gives light to all. It does not diminish if a cloud covers it temporarily. You know it is there.

Similarly, my soul is THERE, in the journey. Like the sun. And like me, all of us are whole and complete. We have to realize the presence of our soul in everything we do.

Soul realization is a shining reality. Filled with joy!

Journeys and Challenges

When you live by your conscience and what is right, indeed, it is god’s grace that you have reached that state. Conversely, living in a world of conflicting perspectives, fragile egos and frequent misunderstandings, simple truths can ostracize you in a big way.

Humans don’t understand the value of personal Journeys and challenges, the need to stabilize your energies even if it means letting go of your personal preferences of relationships, thoughts and misguided values.

It demands courage! But it becomes easier if you understand that there is a price to pay for everything in this world but, anyways, pay all the price BUT except for your own soul. Nothing warrants that.

Understand that the journey of your soul cannot be shared by anyone. You are the master. Your soul is divine. Your higher self is always supported by Divine Light.

So, let go of your lower self that is trapped in this world and immersed in the afflictions of the mind. Observe, detach from outcomes and always do the right thing to feed your soul with enlightened nourishment. Live and act out of pure intentions. Selfishness misaligns you with the universe.

THINK, REFLECT as a daily practice. And make inner changes with those reflective realizations. See yourself getting free while still in this world, where nothing will affect you.

Truth and Lies

Truth and Lies stood face to face. Truth said there is nothing beyond me. Lies said, I am more liked and more in demand than you.

And so the debate continued. One day, lies asked Truth to join it for a swim. The gullible Truth agreed and jumped into the water. Lies hastily took all its clothes, cloaked itself with those clothes and started going around, pretending to be the truth.

When Truth realized the trick Lies had played, it started hiding because it was naked now, without clothes.

And thus it happened that no one wanted the naked Truth anymore and preferred Lies disguised as Truth.

This is exactly the plight of Truth even today. Tell me, who wants to hear it or see it? Wherever it goes, it becomes unpopular.

And, we are living a life inspired by Lies which tells us only what makes us feel good but not what is actually good for us.

But energies are shifting and Lies is gradually losing ground. There is a chapter of Lies that is ending and new light energies are emerging.

In this world, although light and dark are both existent, ultimately, light pervades darkness. Light is eternal and darkness is only a temporary absence of light.

Wisdom

The phrase “acting according to character” sets me thinking. We all have certain basic characteristics that show up as a pattern in daily life. To that extent, we CAN appear as predictable.

On the other hand, to what extent can anyone of us be slotted? Any unexpected action or behavior immediately brands us as acting OUT of character. And comments like, “I didn’t think he/ she was capable of this”.

Let’s watch ourselves to see how many times we do this! As if we know people in and out! The truth is, we are evolving as we trigger old memories and have new experiences. And with every experience, we are also changing subtly. We don’t see it immediately unless we are very aware.

All we can do is observe the changes within us and within others. And mark them for future interactions. In a nutshell, no one remains static. Movement is key. We only choose the direction according to our awareness and wisdom.

Courage

Being timid in today’s cut throat world is a huge handicap. Where, in society, people are constantly judged, criticized unfairly, envied for what they have, and some people are desirous of bringing them down, to take all this lying down can mean not “living” at all.

Being good has a huge price in this world. Goodness shines bright and is sometimes blinding to those who function better in darkness.

It is therefore, important to counteract attempts to crush you with courage and righteousness. In time and with staying with the light of truth, it is possible to nullify intentions of any kind of destruction. The universe always helps those who stay in the light despite all challenges to the contrary.

Wisdom

 There is no time. Procrastination is not a wise choice. Life unfolds in very unexpected ways. Do what you wanted to do tomorrow, today. Of course, if it is important enough to you.

I have seen too many people suffering with guilt and regret. I have seem them acting out of impulse and not wisdom, from ego more than compassion.

We don’t know the truth and so, act out of sheer ignorance, attached to our negative personality and unable to let it go.

There need not be a tomorrow for all we know. There may not be a chance to right our wrongs. There may not be an opportunity to pick up the pieces we walk on.

So, find your inner silence. Find your clarity of thought. Allow transformation and find divine grace within.

Souls in the form of family and friends, associates are all there for a purpose connected with your salvation. Embrace the lessons they teach.

Ultimately, you will have to let everything and everyone go.

Truth

 Why have we arrived at a stage when we hate truthful people? The whole social wheel accepts “sweet lies”, pandering to egos, and people pleasing.

Of course, people pleasing again bans any truth. Some of us can dish it out but are unable to take it. We do not like looking at any dark corners within ourselves; we just want to point out those of others.

It could be conflicts where one is generally responsible for starting them but retaliations pile up to camouflage the intrinsic core of the truth.

Masks, false smiles, saying nice things about each other but talking the opposite behind! No courage there!

Where is the truth in all this? There is a real dearth of real and truthful people because it takes great courage to speak your truth. Because if you do, you definitely stand isolated. However white you may be in the eyes of God, society can paint you black on account of your speech.

Connectivity

 Life has serious aspects to it. To have a good time 24*7 may sound like a plan but is it that simple?

We have challenges all through life which of course, we might deny or try to overlook in different ways. But they don’t go away.

The whole problem with this world of humans is varying strengths of character and the ways of survival adopted. Of course, some sink into undesirable ways. Some might harm others to survive. Some may not survive at all. But some also live in contentment. They are doing something right.

But, in all these options, we never think of the one that CAN save us from disaster.

That wonderful truth can make our personal journey and connectivity with everything in the universe magical.

As someone said, human salvation lies in discovering the absolute truth. But in how many lifetimes is anyone’s guess.

Vibration

 When truth itself becomes a multi headed hydra, it has little chance of surviving or winning. There was a time when people used to say “truth shall prevail”. Even today, it is said that truth will come out one day, that a covering of lies cannot hide it. Today, you can twist the truth even if people have personally witnessed a lie. We only believe what suits us to believe these days.

But I wonder why truth ultimately (if it does) emerges when it emerges and not when it was required to present itself. When there was a dire need to show itself. When you are aware of energies, truth being one, it is all a game of subtle vibrations. Just like the sun emerging only when the clouds disperse.

That’s why less and less people are now inclined to share their thought energy, their stories because they will be stripped of their truthful element , twisted and made a mockery of. We don’t have the energy of courage to speak the truth out aloud. With conviction and fearlessly.

Therefore, we have a convenient umbrella of diplomacy under which we push in all our pretentiousness. The umbrella probably hides us also, after the so called “diplomacy” has been delivered with success, leaving that person a little emptier than before.

Divine Truth

 

What is the meaning of mindfulness and to live in the present moment? What is the connection?

We need to understand that time is transient. It is flowing constantly. Even as we speak in the present moment which is extremely short, that moment has become the past. And every future moment becomes the short present before it becomes the past. So, really speaking, both the past and future have no permanent existence.

The divine truth that is within us and eternal shines through in that present moment. This is the only moment, the present moment, where we can feel the divine energy. Mindfulness is just this, the divine shining through the present moment.

Once we start living in the present moment, we will realize that we need to go beyond the present moment even, to feel the divine presence. Beyond time is where we realize that we are, in fact, divine consciousness itself.

 

For example, the fraction of seconds between two “on” chants, that empty space is where the divine presence can be felt. Meditation can help in reaching this divine residence.

Simplicity

 

In our generation, respect was taught as the first priority. In families. For elders. For each other. I understand now that this is what kept families going. From generation to generation, there was an unspoken code of respect.

Parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, they all fulfilled the roles of mentors for growing children. And there was a bond that could not be refuted.

Likewise, the younger siblings respected the elder siblings. And so on

any elder in the family could pull us up for any lapse in behavior and our parents did not mind. In fact, they were happy that we were all so close.

That was one era. And this is one era. of broken families, lack of respect where you can’t even point out a fault, let alone mentor the young ones. it could be an instant cause for losing relationships and therefore, no one ventures into that territory.

So, this has pervaded the society to such an extent that we are a withdrawn lot that keeps surface contact with our own kind.

Egos? Rampant.

Insecurities? Many

Sensitivity? Increased, maybe in the wrong things?

Truth? Compromised.

Simplicity? What? What does that even mean today?

The comparisons between those times and today are glaring in their differences.

So, older generations call their elders almost every day but today, elders are on call almost every day. Because they love deeply. Because they were taught that love is the most important ingredient in the recipe for life.

Truth

 

We are always so close to healing ourselves, except for denial of our distortions. THIS acts like a thick veil between us and our healed selves.

We DON’T need to know about anyone else.

We need to know

WHAT angers us

WHAT inspires us into conflict

WHERE lie our imbalances

WHY we are unaccepting of our need to change certain thought processes within us

WHY we prefer to blame others but refuse to admit to our own weaknesses

WHY we feel envy, and pander to our insecurities etc.

What do any of these have to do with anyone else?

But, this is the way we want to continue to live. Never mind the miserable state of our minds!

Why are we living a life or pretence and getting comfortable with a lie rather than the truth?

It seems quite illogical, or SHOULD appear as illogical to an “educated” mind. Except that academic education is no guarantee …

Each of us forms a society and the standard of society is therefore, determined by each one of us. 

Change is an internal phenomenon, the triggers of which might lie in the external world. But it has to start within. And we have to feel enough discomfort when looking into our mirrors, to WANT to change our muddy reflections into clear ones.
