There is no healing like a free and fair discussion between two people who have had an issue. You should value a relationship enough to keep the bonds going.
Always opt to build a bridge
first. There is never any point in being drastic. And always try to see the
other point of view. Even if you don’t agree with each other, talk it out,
understand that perspectives are different, amicably agree to disagree and
close the episode. With a little love and caring, you can do so. This attitude
has maturity.
Of course, there is always the
usual ego reaction which borders on the breaking of ties. This is rampant but
very sad. It need not be.
This world is suffering from a
major disconnection. And it is not doing humanity much good. Old ties are
breaking and new ones forming. A natural family is getting diluted and friends
are being called “extended family”. Isn’t that contradictory, this calling
friends “family” when the original family is being torn apart? Ironic!
Our thinking is so topsy turvy,
we don’t realize it’s all negative thought inspired by the ego, and nothing
else.
