Achievement

It strikes me that we are tested with everything we fear in life. To be fearless therefore, is the way to go. That energy can cut away any ropes of debilitation and spurs us on towards achievement.

The timid energy which works under more energetic people can leave you very unfulfilled. Constantly under the control of people and circumstances is the reality of fearful people who face survival issues and a tremendous lack in their lives. Their energy is consumed by those who feed upon their timidity and even sacrifices. They will remain subservient. Their mind perceives many limitations which make them limited and stuck in that groove and unable to move out of that toxic energy.

Worth analyzing!

Motivation

Everyone has difficult circumstances to tackle in life. But, it is disturbing to see so many people developing a victim mentality. Worse still, making their victim card a weapon and playing it to their advantage to gain sympathy.

Today, we need more courage than ever before. Life is fast and no one has the time. We need to do things for ourselves because the support systems of families and elders is crumbling.

To blame life is completely futile. Nothing just “happens”. The fatalistic card of “woe is me” can only mean defeat / lack of motivation to get up and walk again. There will always be supporters around you in strange ways though you may never see them as such out of wallowing in self-pity and confused feelings. I have seen many an olive branch by well-meaning people, rejected again and again.

Actually, you can beat yourself up all your life, with comparisons, maybe for bad decisions made or a karmic onslaught, branding yourself as “unlucky” or whatever. But you know what? It only makes it worse. Only you can turn your life around.

Again and again, I come back to the courage needed to transform a negative pattern of thought to an “I can do it” mode. It is hard work and sometimes, many tears before you smile again. But that one smile is worth the tears preceding it.

Tolerance

“Keep the doors open” and “don’t burn your bridges” are two very important aspects of human connectivity. Circumstances can change overnight and if our relationships are not intact, there will be no support system in times of crisis. Families were created for exactly this reason.

Tolerance for the good, bad and ugly circumstances in our lives is mandatory. However, that tolerance towards everything and everyone without reacting adversely is what will keep us going. Calm and patience , and the faith that things have to change with time and the wheels keep turning. Nothing is static!

We also, hopefully, will keep learning as we go along and contribute to external change by means of our internal change.

Nothing is impossible!

Realization

One of the worst traits we can have and should definitely not have is ingratitude. It’s a popular saying that the people who you meet going up are the same people you will meet coming down.

A saying in Gujarati, translated, says, in life, there may come a time when we may need even a particle of dust. This is not to say that we should use people according to our needs. It means that whatever the circumstances, be grateful for everything because everything and everyone is important in their own unique way.

We grumble when the sun is so intense that it burns but if there was no sun at all? When we get heavy rain that causes damage to property but fills up the catchment areas and provides an abundance of water, should we curse it? Imagine what would happen if there was no water for us?

Two mantras in life are valuable.

One, this too shall pass

Two, it could have been worse

Everything is so relative in this world that only contentment can help in sustaining gratitude with the realization that what we have is a lot and this thought is enough to fill us with a sense of abundance and well being.

Level of awareness

When you do the right thing by others, at whatever cost to yourself and your desires, there is an immediate raise in vibrations. You feel that your higher self has revealed itself. The joy is apparent. So, don’t do anything that directly or indirectly, has detrimental repercussions on anyone. As a rule, this contaminates your energies. Don’t ever doubt this or defy this view, because there is enough evidence to prove this.
Contamination of energies attracts more contamination. The Universe sends you more of what you have because it only vibrates with what you ARE. It cannot discriminate, like humans can.
You are already with people and in places that you need to be with and in. No use fighting this. It is karmic. It is meant to be. AND, if you leave your prejudices aside, it is meant for your good. To learn to heal all the dark aspects that people in your life are there to show you. You may not have a memory of your karma but the people around you ably compensate for this. If only you venture in that direction, which is not often.
And also, if you stop hating and blaming, the truth is, you are always amidst your soul groups which are “coercing, “irritating” you into Understanding the reality, which you must be aware enough to understand.
Life acquires a different meaning once you reach that level of awareness.

Emotions and pain

The common theory is that the caliber and mettle of a human being is how he or she braves the hardships in life. This is what we are taught. Grin and bear it, or grit your teeth. Clench your fists ... etc.
But there is also another side to this. Bottling up emotions and pain can have significant side effects. Sooner or later, they could spiral into major health setbacks.
The only way you can assimilate pain of any kind is by not letting it sink into your cellular memory. Physical pain can be forgotten once it is treated. But emotional pain as also mental agony get registered and continue to give pain even after the event. We have to guard against this.
Always have avenues of releasing this kind of pain, in whichever way, before it becomes a deep wound.

Emotion

Regret is the worst emotion for any of us. Crying over spilt milk, without examining and analyzing the how's and whys. It IS important to do so. The root cause of regret may be very small.
Aren't there many things we have wanted but unable to get them ? Or achieve them ? Even if I take up a career successfully today, there may be other aspects which I could not nurture due to time constraints and whatever else.
Circumstances, inabilities of different kinds and for different reasons... it's ok , because one did other things . That is the satisfaction one seeks. It is important to find enjoyment in what we do, not regret what we did not or could not do. The bottom line !

Choices of feeling

There are so many built in systems within us which, when we discover, we also marvel at. Putting them into words is difficult. Like the inner voice which tells you what to do if it is loud and clear. Of course, if we have muffled it along the way, it is a different story altogether.
Then the choices of feeling, should I mind this? Or should I feel bad? Should I feel happy or sad? Shall I give in or resist eating heavy calorie foods?
Then, there is the system of the body relating the story of the mind. All the psychosomatic problems that manifest in the body, telling us all is not well.
And if you know how to read the systems, you could nip any arising issues in the bud. There aren't any external systems that can be originators of issues. Look within. All the treasure and all the "poison” is all there.

Emotional shoes

Getting into someone's emotional shoes is very difficult. Sometimes, people are not even aware of what others go through. I mean the "near and dear" ones. A lack of compassion!
Probably I can't but be cynical when everyone makes the "right" moves and overtures because it is festival time and about the rest of the year, the less said the better.
Socializing, partying, endorsing "friendships" by being with friends and spending time with them has become more gratifying than spending time with family.
There should be less hypocrisy and more honesty because the world has changed and those who crave for family relationships must become wiser , less expecting and read the writing on the walls which are loud and clear.
I see so much isolation in the hearts of those who grapple to give a genuine smile to the world. It seldom reaches the eyes. Amidst the loud noise of the crackers, hearts are teary and heavy.
I am not morose, just saying it as I see it. And my heart goes out to those who have no joy in their hearts, whether Holi or Divali because they don't want to go through the rights motions just for a day anymore.

The Universe

The Universe is buzzing around us, giving us so many opportunities, so much support, so many kindred souls to help . Yet, we are unable to move forward and create experiences at an optimum level. Our eyes scan far away horizons when everything is so close. Perhaps, that is why we can't see it. It is too close .
The formulae for our well being are also perhaps as simple as the gifts from the universe are closer than we think or we know. We simply look in the wrong place.
Reminds me of the woman who lost her needle inside her hut but was looking for it outside in her yard only because the light was in the yard, while her hut was dark.
Similarly, we also look to raising our vibrations through external sources whereas the tools lie within us. We constantly look in the wrong place.
