Practice

There is never a time when we can build up a case in favour of pettiness or meanness. Ultimately, the onus comes back to us. OUR thoughts, our reactions, our prejudices.

I understand perfectly that we have faced all this and more from other people. But, after much churning and trying out all options , it ultimately OUR choice: to retaliate and give it as good as we get, or to look at such people kindly and know there is something within that have not come to terms with.

That effort, though very tough, will pay rich dividends. It is a daily practice. And will have terrific blocks to overcome. Because the moment you make such an intention, the universe will start testing you with irritating episodes coming your way to see how strong is your resolve.

These are enough to get frustrated and leave the practice. But better to continue the practice. Otherwise, no results will be forthcoming.

Spiritual Health

It is important to train yourself to understand that YOUR life and your spiritual health is THE single most important thing or atleast, should be, for you. You have to and must keep your focus on your well-being, and this should certainly not depend on someone else. Whoever it may be. If you notice, the moment you stop taking the words or actions of others seriously and stop applying them to yourself, you begin to feel your energies lightening. Many must have experienced this. The heaviness leaves you. You can think more clearly and resume your own activities with a new vigor. There is much to be said about taking things with a big pinch of salt. Virtuous life

Who knows the ways of God ? Atleast, we can know about our own ways. We constantly fail in our “human” ways and expect the Divine to work for us.

There is a witness consciousness that watches us act against ourselves day after day, making the same mistakes again and again . No one is exempt !

The one that works hard towards becoming purer in mind sees results. And no one said it was an easy process. But then, in any effort, there are bound to be slips due to force of habit. But we break those habits that don’t serve us over a period of time. So, judgements of people may be odious and avoidable.

Turning away from the world is not required if we can start turning towards a virtuous life.

Today, it is considered stupidity to be honest, truthful , simple and loyal . Why ? The reason given is that we live in a diabolical world and success will elude us if we are virtuous all the time.

We fail to realise the impact and consequences of our non virtuous actions that accumulate to cause grief . But this is for each one of us to realise.

Intuition

The worst thought within us us ,” I wanted to, but…”.

Hello ? Then why didn’t you ? And therein hangs a tale. Our culprit mind that won’t let us act from our intuition because we have given it too much power to rule our actions.

Our gut gets covered with too many layers of a polluted mind to make itself heard. And the beauty is, we don’t even know what or who is driving us ! We think we are smart and we are taking all the decisions. But someone is having the last laugh !

The point is, why do we allow ourselves to reach this state at all ? Why is it so easy to drown ourselves into a whirlpool of conflict and surrender our sane faculties to that whirlpool ?

It is our false belief systems that mislead us at the best of times. If we tear them apart once to look into the falsity, we can then learn better and create a new persona. Until then, we are doomed to stay within the whirlpool.
