We habitually create storms for ourselves.
We will go where fools fear to tread as it were. Or even the fearless think
twice before treading. And then, we get upset or feel hurt at the outcome.
With idealism, one has to be practical
also. I should have the intelligence not to put my hand in the fire when I am
aware that the fire burns. But I am not always so intelligent.
"No" is not a bad or offensive
word if used correctly. It applies to us mainly. To refuse is a right. And
saying "no" to you so as to abstain from foolish indulgences speaks
of a cleverness we all need in order to live a life of wisdom.
