Emotional Crisis

LOSS is the most intense of feelings and the emotions attached to it are heart rending. It does not have to be through death only. It can be the breakup of very valuable relationships. Or the severance of a part of the body even. Emotional crisis can be equally painful.

How to DEAL with loss! When suddenly, its memory triggers when we are trying to cope with life. We live with it.

One of the biggest loss is when you lose yourself in the midst of facing rejection, indifference and marginalization. Others can make you feel that you are a zero when YOU have accepted that you ARE a zero.

We deal with this from time to time. Some see light after a while but some can sink into a massive loss of self-esteem, see only darkness everywhere and CAN end their lives.

I have realized that birth here is definitely to learn plenty of lessons but apart from that, has also an implication of a certain demotion due to our karmic actions. That’s why we are here, without knowing the vastness of who we are, and working with our petty selves, judging, conflicting, hurting, killing and so on.

And that is also why very few consciously expand their awareness and their own consciousness and live in their little ponds of comfort.

They prefer to fail and fail in the same class rather than work hard to seek promotion. Because they are used to it. It is a known place.

After all, what is this life if also not a school? What we end up learning in one lifetime is a question we must ask ourselves.

Self - Esteem

What is it within us that gets panicky at every small failure? Was everlasting success at everything ever promised to us? I don’t think so!

Do we even remember how many times since we were children, we have fallen, cried for a bit, picked ourselves up and moved on merrily with all memory of the fall completely erased? And it had not taken us more than a few minutes!

And now, as adults, what has happened to us all? We amplify every little setback. We let it erode our self-esteem. We are unable to forget and move to the next opportunity. Those memories of past failures travel with us, tainting our present with self-doubt and fear of yet another failure. And we stop living! We just exist because there is no alternative.

Why not become children again, at least in our heads? Forgive, forget and move on with enthusiasm into a new phase with a new zeal! Life has so many new packages to offer. It is never too late.

Human Experience

When righteousness becomes an inflated ego pattern, there may be a possibility that harshness and unforgiving judgements become the rule in relationships. The “I am right” syndrome sometimes leaves little room for kindness or compassion.

Instead of understanding imperfections, we reserve our love and unleash our anger. There are different aspects of a human being that are seen at different times with different interactions and with different people. And if we look deep within them, these differences in the treatment of different people have much to do with personal likes / dislikes/ prejudices.

Imagine a hospital scenario! An ailing person is automatically given kindness / empathy/ compassion. Without analyzing the individual. Because there is an overt ailment diagnosed by a certified doctor.

We are not so indulgent with people who may be struggling out of the hospital bed. The maladies inherent in our sub conscious mind in the form of memories may take long to clear but admirable is the fact that someone can actually work on themselves. Of course, Rome was not built in a day. And to cleanse our minds may comprise of gradual changes and yes, also rolling off the wagon once in a while. And a long time as well.

But people prefer to brand you. For life. Although, we see so many changes along the way within ourselves. But we don’t give similar chances to others.

With the advent of sophisticated technology, are we also becoming mechanical, feeling less, like robots? Self-serving and without a spiritual heart within us? I don’t see this as “progress”.

There is a higher order we need to discover to feel sane. The five properties that we must cultivate:

A spiritual heart

A higher intelligence

A heightened awareness

A higher will

And

A higher memory (positive)

These can transform us into what we are meant to be. Spiritual beings on earth for a human experience!
