It is common sense that the boat on the
river must ensure that it crosses without developing a leak or allowing the
water to enter it. No one in their right minds would deliberately sink it while
in it.
But when it comes to humans, we do tend to
get destructive enough to forget our own self preservation.
Housing every minor or major negativity
makes that one hole in the boat each time. Either we fail to see it happen or
we are confident that the little damage is not going to make a dent in our
journey. And consequently, hole after hole is made. We often laugh at the one
that cautions us. And carry on in the same vein. The slant of the boat is
gradual and the tipping point come suddenly and without warning.
We haven't had enough awareness or wisdom
to understand when to stop and plug the leaks. This realization, if it is
timely, is enough to begin the plugging process and of course, with humility
and intelligent wisdom.
