People often confuse impulsiveness with
spontaneity, probably because of the quickness of response in both cases. But
if you think about it, they are not quite the same.
Impulsiveness is a trait which shows often
that an action has been taken without adequate thought. The impulse could
therefore, be misleading.
Spontaneity is a response from the heart
which resonates with the regular actions of another. Like, to spontaneously hug
someone you care about and are close to. The caring dictates the spontaneous
action. The type of earlier memories about a person or situation can dictate
the level of spontaneity, positive or negative.
The heart is spontaneous. The head thinks.
And when the head (or intellect) is thinking wrongly, wrong impulses will be
the result.
