Perspective

Gradually, over a period of time, you lose the stars in your eyes that you had when you were younger, and you acquire a more realistic perspective.

The mother of all perspectives is one that says, anything directed towards you is not FOR you. Any negativity thrown at us only speaks of how much work is required to be done by the people who would like to decorate us with their negativity on themselves.

Wisdom comes with a lot of intense pain, from experiences, conducive to growth or challenges to be met while remaining true to your own personality.

Justifying negatives, yours or someone else’s is like sinking your feet deeper into a quagmire.

Be like the sun which is constant even behind clouds. It does not diminish its light under any circumstances. It does not react to clouds covering it.

When sense dawns, everything superficial fades away. And what is left is the essence of us, our souls!

Circumstances

There are many moments in the lives of human beings when there is so much pain it becomes a herculean task to even bear it, let alone find the courage to overcome it. And not always is there a reward at the end of the pain, like when a new mother forgets all the pain when she sees her little baby.

This pain is in return for the pain we may have caused someone in some life. Or we might be facing some circumstances which might be painful, and which just came upon us. But this is not an unsalvageable guillotine.

That’s life. You learn to cherish good times and be patient in adverse times, with an indomitable faith that times will change. Just one thing! Be sure to learn what lessons this adverse time is there to teach. Salvaging those parts of your affected life with wisdom and patience is the only way out to let the pain recede.

Compassion

You can either look at someone and choose to find it in your heart to blame or criticize. OR, you can use compassion to understand the behavior. But let’s remember that this is the reaction of your mind which is already programmed in a certain way.

It is really a fact that if you suffer, you suffer alone. People might sympathize superficially but to feel someone’s pain is not an attribute with people.

Hence, the recommendation to understand that isolation from people is creating space for God within your energy.

Spiritual Growth

Be aware that as long as you are getting toxicity and aversions from either your relationships or your own reactions to those aversions, your spiritual growth is suspect. If you genuinely want spiritual growth, remember to follow a one dimensional path, leaving the peripherals behind.

It takes lifetimes to realize how involved we are within the cycle of likes and dislikes, mine and thine, controlling others to fulfil your ends and these are never spiritual … however much you might be into spiritual texts.

Once this hits you, change starts to happen and it is a long arduous path because there has been so much build-up of memories which cannot be shaken off easily.

I remember a Hindi saying

Ek saadhe sab sadhe

Sab saadhe sab jaay

So, get into that single point agenda as soon as possible. There is no other option, believe me.  Relieve yourself of the pain that the world provides you amply.

Personality

I always wonder as to how much even the person closest to you really knows you. Can anyone know anyone ? Maybe, to some extent, as much as they are predictable , I guess. But there are so many hidden and hence, unpredictable facets of any personality that have perhaps yet to be triggered and therefore, remain within the concealed part of the personality.

And yet, how easily we say that we know someone completely ! I don’t think we even remotely know the extent of our own selves for that matter. And knowing this would be definitely more productive .

One lifetime is certainly not enough to peel away all the layers that we have painstakingly piled on to our persona. It is always wise to explore our own space and to clean it up when and where required. Therein lies the illumination possibility.

Memories

When we talk of memory, we perhaps refer to the mind in general. The soul memory actually gets transferred from one lifetime to another and is stored as cellular memory. If the memories are painful , they will manifest in the body sooner or later if something is not done to take away the pain . It is like a thorn in your foot which , if deep, gets septic and the pain radiates well beyond the location of the thorn .
It seems like a Herculean task if not an impossible one, to heal the cells by healing the memories. Because emotional pain also radiates out as compounded pain with one major negative emotion finding allied emotions joining in. Like, anger brings frustration and often , hopelessness with it.
One beautiful method is through breath. Breathing exercises are vital to health. Otherwise lungs can get effectively choked due to intense emotions. They can't breathe in life under these conditions.
So, it pays to remember each time we practice negativity, where the memories are going to be stored and how important it is to clean up the toxicity before it attacks the mind body complex.
