Determination

 May god give us the strength and the awareness to streamline our lives. And have the courage to lose superficiality within ourselves and the people around us.

It is impossible to sustain relationships between apples and oranges. Why try? 

We must accept that everyone is on different levels, different aspirations and goals. During each life we get opportunities to strive for spiritual goals. Money and power, definitely coming as a reward for good karma, unfortunately become the goal, and gradually the greed for supremacy takes away our awareness towards the means we are employing.

We begin to pile on adverse karma and all the earlier “punya” slowly ends and the new phase of karma begins, depending on future actions.

To build is easier than to sustain. To sustain there is more effort and that effort can become an unethical one.

First, perhaps we need sustained ethical awareness and a determination to, at all costs, tread the righteous path while aspiring to achieve.

Everyone preaches but following the same is a big challenge. Only the human being is suspicious even of God’s plan. Irony at its best.

Criticism

 I guess when your life has been complicated since childhood; you tend to get tired of any more of this, growing up. Sometimes, you don’t know that this is going to be your life’s theme and you are going to get it from all quarters.

At such times, it is not easy to put it down to karma. I used to hear a lot of “holier than thou” criticism around people about how so and so should have behaved. Obviously, the judgments are passed without any in depth understanding of you. It just seems to make people feel better because while doing so, they actually believe they are better off..... Until someone makes a judgment on them and they don’t love that person anymore.

That’s how life is today. People are scared of being lonely so, they don’t have the courage to live on their own terms. The stage of isolation has to be crossed to become stronger. It is different karma for different souls but one should not buckle under its pressure. God knows it all. Humans don’t have to if they don’t care to.

The message is that of inner strength and respecting oneself, which also means balanced love, not a careless one.

Understanding of life

When you are depressed, you need someone to talk to; someone who’s kind and understanding words are all it takes to make you feel less toxic. More so, if the environment you live in is a toxic one, an impersonal one, a non- caring one.

Someone asked me, which life is a better one, the one of compromise or the one of loneliness? But aren't we all lonely in some way? And don't we all live a life if compromise in one way or another? How would you quantify or qualify either?

But if you are compromising because you don't want to feel lonely, then you are in trouble. People can be like quicksands, and those that are solid too, have to go away one day.

How much mental strength and understanding of life must one have then, to absorb experiences in the right way and decide what would work and what would not and yet having solutions do not necessarily translate into action. There could be many, many obstacles on the way and one must have the time, will and energy to overcome them.
