Wisdom

We want to end things when we cannot tolerate them! But wisdom dictates that nothing ever ends/ finishes. Like the sun is always a reality. It only gets hidden by clouds sometimes. We only “see “things as going or disappearing. They don’t.

As long as the seeds remain, there is a possibility for them to grow back, be it belief systems, relationships or anything else.

And destroying the seeds is certainly a superhuman effort. There are too many desires still lurking in our sub conscious mind and to destroy their seed itself takes a saintly life. And even then, I am told that even they may also not succeed completely.

The light and dark play will always be there. The attempt to bask under the light is our choice. It is difficult to live life without a question paper. Guess work may not work. Knowing will. How many of us are willing to strive towards this knowing during our lifetime?

Self Absorption

Someone was just hospitalised ! Someone is on the ventilator ! Someone , we heard, has just passed on ! Age no bar !

What a world we live in ! Suddenly, the phrase “life is fragile” has struck closer to home than ever before !

And yet….

We don’t seem closer to valuing those around us. We are so desensitised to others and so single-mindedly devoted to ourselves that the shock of people close to us suddenly ailing and breathing their last conveniently seems such a remote possibility , however real it actually may be .

The chief concern is , “ when will things be normal ?” “ when can I call a party for 100 people ?

People are on different levels.. understandable ! But , why does death or the possibility of death not touch some people ? Is it denial or self absorption or … what ?

Possibilities

If we dwelt on the possibility that anything can happen in a second, how many of us would sleep ? That everything we build in our heads and around us in our physical reality could just be a lot of sand castles.
Does anyone know what reality is ? Is what we imagine, real or is what we see an illusion ? See the kids on the trampoline ? The excitement is how high you can go . But each time, you can't go higher if you don't take off from the ground . It is a normal principle of gravity . The law of life is similar. It says, keep your feet on the ground if you don't want to be swept away like a sand castle. Take off but come back. Like everything has to.

Challenges

Every age has its challenges. As kids as teenagers as adults in various phases of growth, mental, emotional and spiritual; the one benchmark of maturity is becoming non judgmental. And this means truly so, not just superficially so as not to displease.
Actually, to be judgmental really means that we need to look at what others are mirroring in us. Why do I need to judge anyone at all? Because there are similar memories that trigger in us; if there weren't those memories, we would not find it in our hearts to judge.
It is also a matter of feeling holier than thou feeling superior. That is a game that the ego plays. We don't need to play into its hands. We are fine being our own selves, with our own journey and our own challenges, learning, unlearning and relearning constantly and continuously along the way.

Motivation

Why we are so whimsical that we sometimes don't even do what is necessary? We don't make the necessary possible. It's a good starting point, you know. We need to do what we need to do. As a second step then, we can extend ourselves into the realm of the possible. Not always necessary but possible. And once you see an opportunity as possible, one day, you can try and make possible what was in the realm of the impossible.
It's all in the mind, intention and courage. As you walk, the path is sure to open up.
This is motivation for those who want to venture out in the direction of the impossible.
