Depths of People
Egos and misunderstandings are
the reason for a lot of grief and distancing. We can talk about it, point
fingers at people, blame them ad nauseum. But the fact remains that ultimately,
we will have to soul search ourselves.
When we don’t know the depths of people
(which we seldom do), our superficiality takes over and energies start to lack
in compatibility. Heart connections are becoming rare, with the advent of
everything “artificial” and “instant”, making it next to impossible to have the
leisure to explore the depths of anything.
Entirely our loss! For, those of
us who have experienced such leisure will find it difficult to let the brain
take over the heart. And we ARE finding it difficult.

Communication
I have always laid a lot of
emphasis on communication as being a major source of bonding between people
meaningful communication that enables you to understand people, provided they
understand what you are trying to communicate in the first place. We tend to
add a lot of pollution to our understanding, based on how we feel at that
moment.
But today, we do tend to overlook
all of this and prefer to deal superficially. Probably, as much as is “necessary”
or as is expected out of decency and or politeness.
There was a time there was an
economy of words but substantial meaning inherent in them, a meaning that
conveyed sincerity and genuineness. There was no need to say ten words when two
were enough. Hearts were connected.
Today, we must speak volumes to
convince that we speak from the heart, which, most of the time we DON’T.
Supplemented with smiles that touch the ears but don’t reach the eyes.
In a crowd, there is an isolation.
There is limited communication. Overtly. Image building exercise, I guess.
Sometimes, I feel there is more depth in dressing up these days than depth of
communication. And therefore, no understanding of what was the essence of the
communication. The roller coaster we ride everyday gives us no scope.

Objective
When we connect with our higher
self, we also develop a larger vision , in the macro space. This gives an
objectivity which, in turn, gives clear perspectives just because the “I”
ceases to be the focal point.
The witness consciousness teaches
us to externalize our thoughts so we can identify the ones we should keep and
the ones we should throw out of our system as being harmful. And this exercise
must be done daily if we are to have our own slice of heaven.
There is no point in focusing on
how anyone feels / cares/ says about us. This belongs only to them, not us. Let
us not waste our time dwelling on the non-essentials in life. Who knows how
much time we have come with?

Stress
The human mind really puzzles me
at times! Just like lawyers have a field day when families/partners war with
each other, perhaps psychiatrists /counsellors also benefit when we humans get
unnecessarily complicated and stress /anxiety become starting points for many
other issues.
We bring on our own doom, as it
were. Instead of being amicable and friendly and enjoying the money we make, we
spend it on medical help. First, help in creating the problem, get affected,
then run for help!
Really? And all because we are
out of control! And out of values! Out of human feelings! We see it all around
us, talk about it and yet, most of us are not quite there yet in terms of that
vital transition that is so vital to our being.

Consideration
I always wondered why love is
considered its own reward. We are so steeped in the thought that love has to be
reciprocated with love, that, in any relationship, we start anticipating
receiving it in return for our gift of love.
Expecting love is killing the
feeling of love in our hearts. There can’t be a display of love. It really
dwells in our heart. And does not fluctuate based on a return.
That genuine feeling that is felt
as an energy rather than awaiting quantification and calculation. Even a measure
of 0 to 10 cannot state the quality and depth of love. The levels of intensity
have no precise measure and this is the beauty of unfolding it so that it gives
us an abundance of joy. Never mind if no one understands. It is not a matter of
reaction but of defining us.

Reflection
Sincerity and commitment: two
stellar qualities which need cultivation. The world is quite a superficial one
currently. Both qualities do not define many. If they are demonstrated, it is
generally to achieve an end. And after that, they are not seen much.
Evidently then, the reality percolates
down to our own personality of which these two qualities are not an integral part,
just superimposed for a period of time.
Reflection, soul searching,
finding new tools for a better existence, “turning over a new leaf” on some
counts may be a pressing need, sometimes not felt at all, much to our long term
detriment.
Although I do past life
regression, I do believe that the saying” we have only one life that we know
of” becomes significant in terms of using precious time for tending to our soul
journey rather than getting too involved in matters of temporary gratification.

Recognize
We often fail to recognize the
impact of the people we meet in our lives. Each time I go out, I meet just a
few people in a crowd and I know I was meant to meet them. I recognize that
there are no coincidences.
When the mind is open and you are
a seeker, help comes from various places and learning becomes easy. IF you have
the attitude that everyone teaches you something. At a conference of almost
1000 people, most of them unknown to you, this happens. It is truly incredible!
