Divine energy

A man travelling in a confused state of mind does not know which path will lead to his destination. There is no light along these roads, nor signboards. What does he do?

He started out without a clue.

We are somewhat like that. But in our case, we are ignorant in a different way. We actually know the answers but we don’t trust ourselves and don’t listen to our inner voice. We are also not focused inwards, but more concerned about our external image. We seem to exist on the image people have of us.

Why do we spoil our worlds? It is such a self-defeating exercise.

Praise often may not be genuine and can mislead us. But we can get addicted to feeling good through praise. And we get stuck.

Growth through honing our inner self is a painful, uncomfortable process. It can tear your guts out (metaphorically) to elevate out of the current mindsets into the world of the Divine energy which is like blinding sunlight to our darkness. To reach out and up into it, we have to leave behind the darkness of many lives.

Destination

Sometimes I wonder! At the end of the day, what do I want from anyone? What do I want that I don’t already have? I can take lots from others if they are in the mood to give. But then? It is a one sided energy exchange, Isn’t it?

So, then I need to return that energy. And I have no clue how clean and pure intentioned energy it was that I internalized due my desires. It has taken me a while to understand this concept no his truth!

Now I see clearly why saints always gave of themselves. Their energies are so pure that humans can only benefit from them.

In Bhagvad Gita, the concept of surrender is the automatic merging with that pure energy which starts to drive your life when you withdraw from that ego state that wrongly thinks that YOU are doing whatever is happening in your life.

You know, aircrafts that are aided by the direction of the winds reach their destination faster. Similarly, when the Lord becomes our charioteer like HE was Arjun’s, Arjun never returned to his earlier state of confusion. His dharma was the aircraft aided by the grace of the Almighty.

When you start to see this, everything becomes the will of God. HE guides you through the storms, protects you from adverse experiences and helps you across from this end to that end … smooth passage for our soul!

Quality of a soul

God created humans as a motley crowd , each different and unique, with the same physical and mental software around the soul.

But that’s where it ends and creativity begins, a result of the ominous and multi pronged will power and free will.

Often, I marvel at the way minds are wired, including mine. Unless you are a mind reader or become one, the depth and complexities of each mind are sometimes deeper than the ocean and impossible to fathom. So, you revert back to yourself.

Let me atleast try to understand myself with my vast body of past lives and all the triggers that make me think and behave in a certain way.

No! What you see is certainly not who we are. We fight for equality that does not exist. So naive of us ! All mankind is not and can never be on the same level. Even equality of opportunity will always have loopholes for the very same reasons.

So, where does that leave us then ? We are left with ourselves, to look within ourselves and find that uniqueness that renders us flawless as spirits or souls if you will, beyond our physical persona.

The quality of a soul is essentially pure in every human being. The skill is in keeping our own mind body temple as clean as our souls are.

Why then are we so preoccupied with watching others and trying to fathom their journeys and what makes them tick, when we are still so unaware of what makes US tick ? Is that in any concrete way helpful to us ? The answer is “no”.

So many of us who are trying to evolve as humans must remember this. We often hit the bottom of the river of life but if we know the art of floating, we can come up, breathe and float again, each time with more skill and more awareness so as not to drown. No one can do this for us, can they ?

So, to keep peddling the boat to guide it to its destination via the best route , becomes a personal responsibility . This is where the genius in human creativity comes into the forefront and carries us through.

Destination

Life’s experiences take you into the subtleties of behavioural pattens which unravel the deepest psychological aspects of people and of yourself, too, if you are transparently honest with yourself.

Otherwise, we tend to skim the surface of life itself and maybe, also come to the conclusion comfortably that ignorance is bliss. There are so many ways of living and who else can say what is right or not right living for you but yourself ?

Life is such a creative process that its essence is just becoming, not reaching , for there is no destination while in this transient world.

Aspects of our lives

The most realistic and practical aspects of our lives elude us. These are relationship factors which we consider of prime importance. These are also accompanied by mindsets which may become harmful if we are not careful. The worst of them is attachment. You are done for life because moving on will become extremely difficult.

Children who are like the rising sun often accepts change better than their parents. Coming up in life is like climbing a mountain where all the energy and focus are directed. On the other hand, those who are going down with the setting sun miss the light around them which their children had brought into their lives.

What they must seek now is the light within which is the real light in us all. Going downhill in the darkness becomes easy when we focus our inner light to see the path we are traversing.

Unfortunately, this inner light is blocked only by us and no one else. Out of the pull in the opposite direction which path we have already traversed trying to understand that the light of others is illusory. Why then should we seek illusion yet again, instead of reality, which is our inner light?

So much does not make sense but we continue the senselessness and don’t want to understand anything beyond.

When our eyes become weak with myopia, we wear glasses to correct that myopia to see the very same illusory external world clearly once again, knowing that this is not our destination. So, How about going inward to illuminate our beautiful inner world? Why is it that a majority deprive themselves of this joyful existence? No answers!

Valuable experience

When our heart knows something is about to end, we still don't want to accept it. We want to prolong the experience, sometimes for the wrong reasons. The natural outcome of whatever is meant to be will happen only when "I" get out of the way, so to speak "I", meaning my "wrong reasons" like guilt, pity, dependence, inability to take hard decisions and so on.
People are always talking about practical living but I don't really know the extent of the meaning. What constitutes the "impractical" part? It might be different for different people.
However, the one valuable experience I can share is, if you desire something don't look at it in the face. Turn away and it will come to you when you least expect it and when the time is right. And if it doesn't, then maybe, it was never meant to be. And in all this thought process, l am keeping myself as merely an observer, an analyst. "I" am not there.
