Survive

I want to urge people who are prone to deep depressions and disappointments in life, that swallowing pills to feel numb is temporary. I agree that certain issues are really difficult to handle.

There comes a time of hopelessness when no solutions come up and we are on the verge if defeat and acceptance of unpalatable truths.

Never mind. Keep faith. Just as seasons must change, so must the inner seasons of the mind. Agreed that we lose patience and cannot determine the exact point at which something snaps within us. Just don’t let it snap. Keep faith.

If we didn’t believe in goodness on earth, how could we survive? Keep faith and wait for the tide to turn. It will, if you keep faith.

Emotional angles

To say it as it is, clearly and without any emotional angles can be a wonderful way to show simplicity. Emotion of any kind colours your statements as also our behaviour. I also find that it shows in your body language. Basically, it is not coming from a clean space.
It is amazing how any blocked energy can be lodged in your system for years and years. Use your inner electronic conveyor belt , like that of a treadmill, to keep moving with a healthy plan for life and definitely include leaving each step behind as you take the next one. Retracing only helps when you want to heal something that was left incomplete. Don’t forget to revisit and heal. Nip any tendency of a residue build up in the bud. It takes a long time to clean so many cob webs. And time is short.

Consequences

I have realized that to be critical of yourself and hard on yourself can turn out to be a huge punishment in your future life and can really alter the quality of your life. To feel guilty, remorseful is human up to a point. But all your life ? Even to kick yourself for not doing things in a different way and looking at an undesirable outcome can really psyche you into believing you are inadequate or foolish or whatever tag you want to give yourself. Before others do it, you are doing it to yourself.
It makes no difference though. When the arrow leaves the bow, it will pierce something somewhere. Remember the story of Shravan kumar ? The king was innocent but had to bear the consequences of hitting the wrong target.
We do this very often out of our ignorance or misguided ness even. But having said that, what next is the moot question. How are we going to deal with a situation which was not in our control ? Or we thought it was but..... it has happened in a certain way. That is the reality.
This is the point at which wisdom comes in. Life has never been black and white. The shades of grey are what make you move through life. Solutions have to be found for our own well being . And if we have to bear consequences, we have to simply bear them.

Mindset

Sometimes, people talk without thinking . They live in a world of mindsets. Like, a healer friend had high Blood pressure and she happened to tell another friend this. The immediate reply was , "how come, when you are a healer yourself ?" So, A healer is not perceived as a human being.
So, a musician should always be calm in the wake of all odds. An affluent person should always be on top of the world because what could be HIS worry ? He has everything.
These kinds of mindsets are so mechanical and so much of a habit that I wonder whether these people listen to themselves. Moreover, mindsets are a well which you can never emerge from if you don't feel the need to. That's scary.. to not feel the need. To stand still.
Worth thinking about.

Talent and creativity

Sometimes, when you go to a show expecting nothing, you get mesmerized by the fantastic unexpected as I did this evening and as did many others.
The one hour, one woman play "Elephant in the Room" by the incredibly talented Yuki from Bombay was a treat that I was happy not to have missed. For the first time, I witnessed a touching portrayal of the human side and the anguish of Lord Ganesha as a little boy who had his head severed and replaced with an elephant head. Within this theme, Yuki weaves many characters and many little stories through Ganesha setting out to find his original head. She also touches upon contemporary topics brilliantly.
To keep the audience fascinated through her impressive and effective body language. acting, dance postures, incredible voice modulation for every character she played, from a hunter to a spider to a hyena and more , is certainly not a mean task. And Yuki did it with aplomb.
With simple settings and improvisations of characters with just a robe or a stole and super lighting and sound effects, the show is truly an unforgettable one.
FLO chose a daring, modern play but the Chennai audiences have come of age and responded with a thunderous applause between every scene and at the end of the show.
What talent and creativity can accomplish!!!
