Perspectives
A popular thought: if God brings you to it,
HE will take you through it”. As we go through life, with each onslaught, we
begin to get stronger and stronger. As they say, if it doesn’t kill you, it HAS
to make you stronger.
When I see my loved ones having to live
without people they loved very much, and living with grace, I realize that we
really have no business to be anything other than compassionate. And live with
courage. And self respect.
Every second day, there is news of someone
getting unwell. There is always news of families breaking apart. There is
enough misery to cope with. And enough support to be given.
I really don’t know what to say about
people who get so selfish in their ego that they don’t recognize even those who
care for them. Their loss, I guess. They have not learnt to count their blessings.
Or, are in a whirlpool of mixed emotions where they don’t want to know that
they also could be riddled with faulty perspectives.

Attitude
Someone asked me, why is there so much
turbulence in life ? I thought .. hmmm.. Do we call it turbulence due to our
responses to the unfolding of our karma ? Our perspective ? I always wonder !
Because i see some people calm in the face of storms while some get blown away.
A matter of attitude ? Maybe, a very strong
core , an unshakeable faith in the Divine ? Maybe, an internalisation of the
ultimate truth after which life becomes like a child’s play. So easy and so
breezy !
... and much turbulence in the absence of
some or all of the above ?
In any case, turbulence was never the
desired intention ever for anyone. Yet, it was allowed by each one of us ... as
, who else is within us but we ourselves ?

Destiny
Sometimes, when there is no moon, even the
tide goes into depression and ebbs away...life also ebbs away slowly, inch by
inch. Ultimately, you are face to face with your God. And you both know the
truth of your life. Life after life, only the Divine and your soul are players.
Destiny leads always. If Jesus Christ could be crucified, what can we say of
lesser beings? The world is a stage for many dramas unfolding...and the more
involved you get, the more miserable life becomes. Play your character to the
hilt as per your conscience. Don't expect anyone to know or empathize with your
story. After all, they are also birds of passage. What and who do you think you
can hold onto?
